Carvanha and Sharpedo

Gulpin and Swalot Wailmer and Wailord

Pokémon GO Sharpedo (Max CP is 1986) evolves from Pokémon GO Carvanha, and both Pokémon are dual water and dark types. Sharpedo’s best moveset is Bite with Hydro Pump, closely followed by Waterfall Hydro Pump.

Sharpedo is known for its speed, agility and overly aggressive behavior. Its a shark. Nobody likes sharks.

Sharpedo in the Pokémon GO meta

Sharpedo is in a weird place right now, featuring solid offensive performance, but with no real matchups:

  • Absol / Houndoom can do better everything that’s Dark related
  • A ton of water types do Water type stuff better.
  • Poison Fang Poison is simply trash

We suggest using it as a second team option in raids, but nothing else comes to mind.

Pokémon GO Sharpedo Moves

Best moves: Waterfall / Bite + Hydro Pump

Sharpedo has access to following moves:

  • Waterfall Water (fast)
  • Bite Dark (fast)
  • Hydro Pump Water (1 bar, charge)
  • Crunch Dark (3 bar, charge)
  • Poison Fang Poison (3 bar, charge)

Avoid Poison Fang. You can’t have Poison Fang. It’s awful.
