Lairon Raid Guide

Lairon

Lairon is a Tier 3 raid boss in Pokémon Go. Lairon evolves into Aggron, a defensive behemoth that will have its mega evolution debut in the Test Your Mettle event.

Being a Steel and Rock type, it is weak to the Fighting, Ground and Water types. It is worth noting that Lairon is double weak to the Fighting and Ground types in Pokémon Go.

Lairon can be caught with the following CP values:

  • 1110 – 1174 CP at Level 20, no weather boost
  • 1388 – 1468 CP at Level 25 with Snow or Partly Cloudy weather boost

High-level trainers can solo Lairon. But in general, 2-3 trainers can take down Liaron without much effort.

Lairon Raid Counters

Since Shadow Pokémon are extremely expensive to power up and require specific events to remove Frustration with a Charge TM, they will NOT be listed as raid counters in this article. That being said, if you have the shadow form of a listed raid counter Pokémon powered up and TMed, use it.

The best counters for Lairon are the following:
