Hey Trainers! The Into the Wild event is here from November 10 to 14, and it’s bringing a ton of exciting Pokémon encounters in the wild, raids, and Max Battles. With the big GO Wild Area: Global launch coming up after this event, now is the perfect time to level up your PvE skills and get some meta relevant Pokémon featured during this event.
During the event, Trainers will encounter wild Pokémon like Alolan Rattata, Sableye, Carvanha, Purrloin, Cottonee, Scraggy, Spritzee, Swirlix, Carbink, Nickit, and Fidough more frequently.
While they are not central to raid battles, they offer useful opportunities for completing your Pokédex, with some being interesting picks for PvP enthusiasts. If you’re looking to seriously power up your raid teams, focus on the tougher stuff coming up.
Speaking of Max Battles, you’ll face Dynamax Pokémon like Ralts, Sableye, and Toxtricity (both Amped and Low Key forms).
Ralts: Your Secret Weapon for Wild Area
Don’t sleep on the Ralts Max Battle! While it’s only a One-Star encounter, catching and powering up Ralts is actually a smart long-term investment. Ralts evolves into Gardevoir, which is one of the best Fairy counters.
Here’s why this matters: During the Wild Area: Global event (November 15-16), Gigantamax Grimmsnarl makes its global debut in Max Battles. Grimmsnarl is a Dark Fairy type that’s weak to Fairy, Steel, and Poison moves. While Crowned Sword Zacian is an absolute top counter, Dynamax Gardevoir with a Fairy type fast move is one of the more budget options for an attacking counter for Gigantamax Grimmsnarl. So farming Ralts now and evolving it into a strong Gardevoir gives you a good option for the upcoming weekend event.
Plus, Gardevoir can Mega Evolve into Mega Gardevoir, making it even more valuable for Dragon-type raids and other PvE content down the line.
Toxtricity: Skip the Regular
If you already have access to Gigantamax Toxtricity, the regular Dynamax version becomes less valuable for Max battle purposes. That said, if you’re new or don’t have access to the Gigantamax version, the regular Dynamax Toxtricity can still help you as both an Electric and Poison attacker. Just know it’s not as crucial as other priorities this week.
Shadow Lugia and Shadow Ho-Oh
Shadow Lugia with an attack stat of 193 is just an average and Psychic attacker. It gets totally outclassed by the real heavyweights like Mega Rayquaza, Mega Salamance, Shadow and regular Mewtwo, Mega Alakazam, and Mega Latios. Skip it if you’ve got better options.
Shadow Ho-Oh with flying type Hidden Power may be a slightly better type raid attacker, but still outclassed by above mentioned flying raid attackers. For fire raids, it’s decent but gets crushed by Mega Charizard Y, Mega Blaziken, and Reshiram. Worth having around, but don’t expect it to top any raid counter charts.
The Tapu Guardians
Moving on, all four Tapu Guardians are back with their special charged move, Nature’s Madness. This move makes Tapu Koko, Tapu Bulu and Tapu Lele (no, haven’t forgotten about Tapu Fini; the less said about it the better) as solid Fairy type attackers but they are still outclassed by the likes of Mega Gardevoir, Shadow Gardevoir, Enamorus Incarnate. You can raid a few just in case, they may get a Fairy type fast move in the future making them more viable, not to forget about their cool black shiny variants.
Necrozma Forms: Dusk Mane & Dawn Wings
These guys are next-level though. With a massive attack stat of 277, Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings Necrozma are top-tier raid attackers in Pokémon GO, with Dusk Mane excelling as a Steel powerhouse and Dawn Wings reigning as the strongest Ghost attacker. Players obtain these forms by fusing base Necrozma with Solgaleo or Lunala using Fusion Energy and candies. Fusion Energy—Solar for Dusk Mane and Lunar for Dawn Wings—is earned by defeating these respective raid bosses. Both forms are crucial for high-level raid performance due to their signature attacks (Sunsteel Strike for Dusk Mane, Moongeist Beam for Dawn Wings) and impressive damage output. If you don’t have these monsters in your armoury, this is the time to add them.
Conclusion
The Into the Wild 2025 event is the perfect time to jump in and level up your Pokémon GO PvE game. Whether you’re catching Ralts to build a killer Gardevoir or trying out those Dynamax battles, there’s a lot to enjoy and learn. Don’t forget about the powerful Necrozma forms—they’re real game changers for raids. This event sets you up great for the Wild Area: Global launch, so get out there, have fun, and start powering up your team. The Wild Area is calling, Trainers—let’s crush those battles!
