GO Wild Area 2026: Mexico City, Mexico

GO Wild Area 2026: Mexico City takes place on November 6, 7 and 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time each day, with gameplay throughout Mexico City, Mexico. Dynamax Dialga and Dynamax Palkia debut, mighty Pokémon return, and Steel- and Dragon-type Pokémon take the spotlight. Hisuian Sliggoo and Hisuian Goodra also arrive, while Machamp gets a new look!

This is a ticketed, in-person event. A one-day ticket costs MXN$350, plus applicable taxes and fees, and gives you access to event gameplay on your chosen day. Optional Extra Day Add-ons let you extend your visit. Ticket holders can look forward to extra bonuses, branching Special Research, and a chance to encounter mighty Latias and Latios from Incense.

Event Highlights

Mighty Pokémon return

Hunt for mighty Pokémon in the wild and from Incense during the event. Ticket holders may also encounter mighty Latias and Latios from Incense! Have your GO Safari Balls ready, as these powerful Pokémon can be difficult to catch!

Wild Spawns and Habitat Schedule

Two habitats alternate throughout event days: Solid as Steel Hour runs first, followed by Daring as Dragons Hour. All times below are local.

Mighty Pokémon

Mighty Pokémon are unusually powerful Pokémon that you may encounter during GO Wild Area. They are rare, more difficult to capture, and share a few traits:

• More likely to have high Attack, Defense, and HP ratings.
• More likely to be XL or XXL.
• Can be Shiny, if you’re lucky!

Using an event-exclusive GO Safari Ball greatly improves your chance of catching one. The mighty Pokémon available in the wild and from Incense during your ticketed day or days are listed below.

Mighty Pokémon in the Wild

The following mighty Pokémon can appear in the wild throughout your ticketed days. All can be Shiny.

GO Safari Balls

All Trainers have a chance to get GO Safari Balls by spinning PokéStops and Photo Discs at Gyms during event hours. These highly effective Poké Balls make catching Pokémon, especially mighty Pokémon, much easier.

Ticket holders can also collect GO Safari Balls from GO Wild Area Supply Balloons appearing every hour during event hours. Supply Balloons are available to ticket holders at both the in-person GO Wild Area events and the Global event.

Incense Encounters

Ticket holders can encounter Unown M, E, X, I, C and O from Incense, alongside the mighty Pokémon listed below. All six featured Unown letters can be Shiny.

If you’re lucky, you might even encounter mighty Latias or mighty Latios during your ticketed day or days! Both can be Shiny and will be quick to flee, so have your GO Safari Balls ready.

10 km Egg Hatches

The following Pokémon will hatch from 10 km Eggs during the event. All four can be Shiny!

Ticket holders have an increased chance of receiving 10 km Eggs when spinning PokéStops and Photo Discs at Gyms during event hours.

Research

Event Field Research for all Trainers

Ticket-holding Trainers will have a boosted chance of receiving event-themed Field Research during GO Wild Area: Mexico City. Complete these tasks to encounter event-themed Pokémon.

Ticket-holder Special Research: Steel or Dragon?

Ticket holders can claim an exclusive branching Special Research story during their ticket event day for GO Wild Area: Mexico City. Choose a path and become an expert on Steel- or Dragon-type Pokémon to earn one of two in-game medals.

Trainers who attend an in-person GO Wild Area event can also receive this Special Research if they purchase a ticket for the Global event.

More event information will be shared closer to GO Wild Area. We’ll update this guide as further details are confirmed.

Stamp Rally

Ticket holding trainers at the Mexico City, Mexico event can look forward to a brand new Stamp Rally on their event ticket day! You’ll be able to explore real life locations in the city and discover landmarks to collect in-game stamps to complete the Stamp Rally. The Stamp Rally will be live from 9:00am to 8:00pm local time on your main ticketed day.

You will not receive additional stamp rallies with the Extra-Day Add-On ticket.

What is a Stamp Rally?

A Pokémon GO Stamp Rally is an activity where Trainers visit specific PokéStops or Gyms to collect stamps by spinning the Photo Disc. As Trainers explore different locations to fill their Stamp Rally card, they can view their progress on the Scrapbook page and unlock rewards and Pokémon encounters along the way.

How to Participate

Each GO Stamp Rally has a unique theme, requiring Trainers to visit designated PokéStops to collect stamps. By checking your Map, you can view which locations are participating in a Rally.

1. When you are near a participating PokéStop, a stamp icon will appear on the map. 
2. Once you approach the PokéStop, you will automatically receive a stamp sheet.
3. Spin the Photo Disc where a stamp icon is displayed, and a circular stamp sheet will appear.
4. Tap or press and hold the centre of the circle; the density of the ink will vary based on how long you press. Please Note: Stamps cannot be re-stamped or adjusted once placed.
5. A stamp animation will play, indicating you have received the stamp.
6. As you collect stamps, you’ll receive rewards such as items or encounters that may be themed to the Stamp Rally. You can track your collection progress on the Scrapbook page.

• (**) For this bonus to apply, Trainers must first collect all Max Particles available in the Nearby menu. Trainers can collect Max Particles via the Nearby menu each day by exploring. Adventure Sync can help make sure your distance counts! Keep an eye on the Nearby menu for the icon that shows when Max Particles are ready to collect.

Citywide Gameplay in Mexico City

Pokémon GO Wild Area isn’t contained to a single park this year — instead get ready for citywide adventure throughout all of Mexico City. On your ticketed event day, you’ll be able to experience gameplay anywhere in Mexico City. 

While adventuring through Mexico City, you can stop by the host locations, popping up all throughout the city. Here, you’ll find all of your favorite Pokémon GO event activities and get the chance to meet Trainers just like you. Stay tuned for more information on where to find these special locations.

GO Wild Area Mexico City 2026 Tickets

Pokémon GO Wild Area 2026: Mexico City attendees may purchase a ticket for one day of the three-day event. One-day tickets are MXN$350 (plus applicable taxes and fees) and are available for purchase here.

How to Purchase Tickets

Click Buy Mexico City tickets to get a ticket, or: 

1. Open the Pokémon GO app.
2. In Map View, tap the Main Menu button.
3. Tap Events.
4. On the following page, all upcoming live events will be listed, with the soonest event at the top.
5. You’ll see the label “Tickets Available!” next to a first-come first-served event if it hasn’t sold out yet.
6. Tap the event to select the date and time you wish to attend, purchase tickets for friends, and input your payment information to complete your purchase.
7. On the payment confirmation page, please note your order ID. You’ll also receive a confirmation email at the address you entered before payment.
