Yes trainers, we covered the leaks and we put out the speculation article earlier today, but now we have confirmation that Beldum will be the October 21st Community Day Pokémon! This is great news as it is a rare Pokémon, so Metagross will be a possibility for some trainers now, as well as having a exclusive move on top of it. Here are all the details known at this time:

As is the usual for Niantic, we do not have any information on what the exclusive move is just yet, but there are quite a number of guesses. There were the recently added assets for Meteor Mash, which would be a strong indication they intend to give one of the best Steel type Pokémon in the game a good Steel type move, as right now it is rocking some of the worst moves it can have in that department. Of course Niantic is known for being full of surprises, so we could see something else entirely. Anything from good Psychic moves like Confusion and Psyshock to something completely lame like Shadow Ball, Grass Knot or…. Hyper Beam. Let us all hope for those Psychic moves or a hopefully good Meteor Mash. (Update at 1PM PDT, Exclusive move is thankfully confirmed to be Meteor Mash.)
Finally, Niantic has updated the map for Chikorita Community Day and wow, did the other teams besides Mystic make a showing. In comparison to Eevee day where Mystic dominated all countries save for South America going to Instinct and Australia going to Valor, Mystic lost ground! While Mystic regained South America and Australia, they lost North America to Instinct and the Russia, Asia, and Middle Eastern region to Valor. Mystic still reigns supreme, taking 1st with Valor and Instinct coming 2nd and 3rd respectively, but it is a loss regardless. Perhaps one of these days though, Instinct and Valor can work to dethrone Mystic, however as it stands the undisputed leader in Community Days stays with Team Mystic.
