Trainers, Lugia raids are now appearing worldwide, replacing Rayquaza as the Tier 5 Legendary raid boss. The Game Master file had a last minute update and it now shows Sky Attack as a 80 damage move.
It’s still a two bar move, but it is a bit more powerful now —Sky Attack is now arguably the strongest
type move in the game, which is an interesting twist. Nothing else has changed as of the time of this writing: no catch rate modifications, no hitbox changes, nothing.SKY ATTACK UPDATED: POWER BOOSTED FROM 70 TO 80! pic.twitter.com/n1RxZXTxFb

Luckily, that’s not all the news we’ve got today! Venusaur’s March Community Day move has just been announced and it’s Frenzy Plant! Frenzy Plant is a signature move for all fully evolved Grass starters and it is not yet present in the Game Master or in the game’s APK data.
However, a video shared by Trainer Tips hints that it’s a two bar charged move with 100 damage, which potentially makes it the strongest Grass move in the game. Good work on getting the scoop on this one Nick! The Venusaur model is also updated, which could indicate a Shiny Bulbasaur is indeed coming.
You can see the official announcement here and you will soon be able to read about other starter exclusive moves that we expect from future Community days. No word on a shiny Lugia yet, but to be honest, we’re not expecting one.
What else has changed:
- Double XP event is over
- Rayquaza is no longer appearing in raid battles
