Minior Showers will bring the debut of Minior to Pokémon GO, during real life meteor showers! Different Minior Cores will feature during different meteor showers through the year. Minior has seven different colour cores, which will fall from the sky first?

Minior
Minior will make their Pokémon GO debut, with seven different coloured Cores. You’ll find them in the wild in their Meteor Form during specific meteor showers each year, and you’ll received increased Stardust for catching Minior. During each meteor shower, a different colour core Minior will debut!
One Minior will be exclusive to the Northern Hemisphere, and one Minior will be exclusive to the Southern Hemisphere, but we don’t know yet which colour Core!

Minior is a Rock and type Pokémon in Pokémon GO. As a Rock and Flying-type Pokémon, Minior is weak to Electric, Ice, Rock Steel and Water type moves.
Different coloured Core Minior will debut during different real life meteor showers.
- Orionids: October 19th 2026 at 5:00pm to October 24th 2026 at 11:59pm local time
- Leonids: November 14th 2026 at 5:00pm to November 19th 2026 at 11:59pm local time
- Geminds: December 11th 2026 at 5:00pm to December 16th 2026 at 11:59pm local time. During this meteor shower one of Minior’s core colours will feature in the Northern Hemisphere, and another will feature in the Southern Hemisphere.
- Eta Aquariids: May 3rd 2027 5:00pm to May 8th 2027 11:59pm local time
- Southern Delta Aquariids: July 28th 2027 at 5:00pm to August 2nd 2027 at 11:59pm local time
- Perseids: August 10th 2027 at 5:00pm to August 15th 2027 at 11:59pm local time
Minior will burst into Pokémon GO with a brand new form changing mechanism, changing the way you battle in PvP.
- Minior will battle in its Meteor Form until its health is reduced to below 50%, when it will change its form and expose its core.
- While in Meteor Form, Minior will have higher Defense and lower Attack.
- While its core is exposed, Minior has higher Attack and lower Defense.
Initially, Minior will only be able to change forms when battling Team GO Rocket, team leaders, or in the GO Battle League.*
*Minior will not be eligible for the 2027 Latin America International Championships.
From 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time every day during each Minior Shower, the in-game sky will be lit by shooting stars.
You’ll also have an increased chance of encountering Minior in the wild.
