Good morning Trainers! A few notable changes have been spotted in the new 0.289.0 Pokémon GO update, including 4 new, never seen before, charge moves, that are signature moves for Tornadus, Landorus, Thundorus, and Decidueye.
We also have a handful of text updates and new stickers for Pokémon GO Wooper Community Day (November 2023). Let’s see what’s new!
4 new moves spotted: Bleakwind Storm, Sandsear Storm, Wildbolt Storm, and Spirit Shackle
Four new moves have been added to 0.289.0, and were not present in previous game version files:
- V0395_MOVE_BLEAKWIND_STORM – damage-dealing type move, introduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, signature move of Tornadus
- V0396_MOVE_SANDSEAR_STORM – damage-dealing Ground type move, introduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, signature move of Landorus
- V0397_MOVE_WILDBOLT_STORM – damage-dealing Electric type move, introduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, signature move of Thundurus
- V0398_MOVE_SPIRIT_SHACKLE – damage-dealing Ghost type move, introduced in Generation 7, signature move of Alolan Decidueye

Tornadus, Landorus, Thundorus, and Decidueye will definitely receive a special event treatment in the near future, and we are betting Rowlett Community Day will feature Spirit Shackle as Decidueye’s exclusive move.
We don’t have the stats for the new moves, so we really don’t know how good or bad they will be, but we do expect the three storm-moves to be more or less the same, just with different typing and with a chance to trigger a debuff. In the main series games, all three of those moves have status effects have been translated as Attack drop in Pokemon GO.
New stickers
New Wooper themed stickers have been added, in preparation for Pokémon GO Wooper Community Day (November 2023) event.

New strings spotted
In addition to the new moves, a handful of new strings were spotted in the translation bundles. These bundles are downloaded to your device, so inspecting them is not hard, but it is difficult to track what’s new, and what’s old.
