Pokémon GO Fest 2023 Details Revealed: Diancie and 10 new Shiny Pokémon!

Pokémon GO Fest 2023 is right around the corner and we’ve just received brand-new information for the global event, and for the each respected region, including spawns, shines, bonuses, rewards and more!

If you’re participating at one of the IRL locations or even playing globally, you will want to pay attention to the following details so that you don’t miss out on any crucial information, we’ve got you covered.

Here’s your quick reminder for the date of each GO Fest 2023 event:

London & Osaka: August 4-6, 2023
New York City: August 18-20, 2023
Global event: August 26-27, 2023

Diancie debuts at GO Fest 2023

Diancie

After its appearance in London, Osaka, and New York City, the Mythical Pokémon Diancie will make its global debut during the first day of Pokémon GO Fest 2023: Global.

Ticket-holding Trainers will be able to complete exclusive Special Research to learn more about the Jewel Pokémon-and get an opportunity to encounter it!

Diancie will debut at GO Fest 2023 and is a dual-type Rock / Fairy Mythical Pokémon introduced in Generation VI. Diancie has the ability to Mega Evolve, however, this will most likely be a feature for a later date.

Diancie will be available for Ticket Holders on all GO Fest events.With that being said, let’s move on to all the juicy details including all the dates, news, features, spawns, habitats, new shinies, and more.

Pokémon GO Fest 2023: Global Details

Trainers, attention! At the Pokémon GO Fest 2023 Global event, there will be more than 70 Pokémon featured across four rotating habitats. As one can expect, each habitat will have themed Field Research tasks, a special version of a costumed Pikachu, and select Pokémon attracted to it!

Here are the bonuses you can expect during GO Fest 2023 Global event:

Lure Modules activated will last for one hour
Trainers will be able to enjoy Field Research themed around the different Pokémon habitats
The Remote Raid Pass limit will be increased to 20 per day from Saturday, August 26 at 12:00 a.m. to Sunday, August 27, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. local time
Take snapshots during the event-you never know who might show up!

Global habitats and new shiny Pokémon

During the event, there will be four habitats available in the form of rotating habitats. Do note that these habitats will be active only on the first day of the event, and the Pokémon found in these habitats will be available on second day as well:

All Pokémon that appeared in the wild during the first day of the event will also appear during event hours on the second day. There are no rotating habitat hours on the second day, so these Pokémon may appear at any time!

In addition to this, 5 new shiny Pokémon will be making their Pokémon GO debut: Goomy, Oranguru, Shellos West Sea, Shellos East Sea, and Joltik.

But these are not all the Shiny Pokémon that will debut during the GO Fest 2023 cycle of events. More details are available below, but here’s a quick overview of every new Shiny Pokémon:

Remote Raid Limit increase and new Unown letters

During the Pokémon GO Fest 2023 Global event, the Remote Raid Pass limit increased to 20 per day.

Unown encountered during the GO Fest 2023 Global event will spell out the word DIAMOND:

Over 70 Pokémon featured, the rotating habitats, themed Field Research, increase in Remote Raids limit, and new shiny Pokémon will be available to everyone, regardless of ticket status.

Ticket-holder Exclusive Bonuses

The following bonuses will be available to Ticket holders during the Pokémon GO Fest 2023 Global event, on top of the existing bonuses which are available for everyone:

For ticket holders, the following Pokémon will be attracted to Incense-excluding Daily Adventure Incense-during event hours. Shiny Unown M will make its global debut after appearing during the Pokémon GO Fest events in London, Osaka, and New York City.

GO Fest 2023 Pre-order Bonuses

In addition to the bonuses listed above, each Trainer can decide if they want to improve their in-game experience in the lead up to GO Fest by preordering Tickets earlier.

Pokémon GO Fest In-person Events

With the global GO Fest details out of the way, it is time to dive into the details of each and every real-world event. Before we dive any deeper, here are the things that you can expect in London, Osaka, and New York.

Diancie, Sigilyph, Unown

Diancie will be featured at all three real-world events, as the hero Mythical for this year’s GO Fest event cycle. A lot of you already figured that one out, given the diamonds on this year’s GO Fest logo. We now have official confirmation for Diancie, but also for the Regional Pokémon that will be spawning at each of the GO Fest venues: Sigilyph!

That’s right, the ancient hieroglyph-looking bird will be available at London, Osaka and New York, accompanied with – of course – Unown. The Unown letters available at the in-person events will spell out DIAMOND! with the exclamation mark Unown making its appearance.

Gameplay additions

Attendees will be able to enjoy the following Gameplay additions at each location on their ticketed day:

Event-exclusive Special Research and debut of new Mythical Pokémon: Diancie, the Jewel Pokémon
Spin PokéStops to collect event-exclusive Field Research tasks and earn rewards. You may even encounter Carbink!

Pokémon GO Fest 2023: London

Pokémon GO Fest 2023: London takes place at Brockwell Park (South of Central London), from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. The in-person gameplay will be split between playing at the park, and playing in the greater London area.

Morning Park Session will be available from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm, and Afternoon Park Session from 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm. An intermission will take place from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm to allow Morning Session Trainers to leave the park.
