We expect Frigibax for June Community Day
June is often a very exciting Community Day, with the Dragon type shiny released at the previous years GO Fest event getting a Community Day. That means this year we can expect it to be Frigibax Community Day! Here are what their shiny versions look like:
With Mega Baxcalibur debuting in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, this will be a great time to grind for a 100 IV Frigibax, or even the elusive shundo!
| Attack | 332 |
|---|---|
| Defense | 228 |
| HP | 133 |
| Max CP (level 50) | 4991 |

Outside of Frigibax Community Day, the other two days could be almost anything! With a rather unexpected Lechonk Community Day in May 2026, it opens the door to more single evolution Pokémon featuring in Community Day, particularly if they have a gender difference in their evolutions. There are also the typical Pokémon with 2 evolutions that can feature, as well as those tricky 400 candy evolutions that have featured previously.
Let’s wildly speculate about who else may feature! Tympole is a Pokémon we have expected will get a Community Day at some point, along with Venipede. Tympole has some PvP usage, and Venipede ultimately evolves into Scolipede which has a new Mega Evolution in Pokémon Legends: Z-A too. Other fun options could be Darumaka or Sandile, both of which have some great meta potential. We can daydream that Larvesta will get a Community Day, and I believe it will at some point, but it is probably a little soon for it still. A more traditional option would be Hatenna, or even Smoliv.
Finally, we can expect that Sobble will almost certainly be one of these Community Days, to complete the Galar First Partner trio all having their shinies released. They have a fantastic shiny family:
We predict Global Challenges, Shadow Suicune Raid Day and a mysterious Hatch Day
With Global GO Fest nestled between these events, we are glad to see slightly less events announced.
July 18th gets a mystery event which is very intriguing. We would mark this one in your diary in case it is something related to the global challenges we may get at GO Fest, it could be something very exciting!
One of the raid days should be Shadow Suicune Raid Day to round out the trio as Shadow Raikou featured in January, and Shadow Entei features in May. We would certainly expect it to take place before the end of 2026. We could also see a new Mega Pokémon debut, with a host of them to come thanks to pokemon Legends: Z-A!

The Hatch Day also offers some intrigue, as many of the baby Pokémon have now had a dedicated hatch day event. Those that haven’t include Pichu, Budew, Igglybuff, Smoochum, Wynaut, Bonsly, Chingling, Mantyke and Toxel. Mime Jr. is a regional so we don’t anticipate it getting a Hatch Day like most of the other baby Pokémon. Budew has not had a Hatch Day, but it did feature in 2km eggs during Roselia Community Day back in 2021, so we think it won’t be Budew. My personal preference would be to see Chingling, Mantyke or Toxel be featured, as they are some of the rarer baby pokemon. Plus, Chingling evolves into Chimecho, which gains access to a Mega Evolution in the Mega Dimensions DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
