Shiny Latios and Latias models found in Pokemon GO’s network traffic

Posted in

Trainers, this is not  a drill! Shiny Latios and Latias models were found in the network traffic by Chrales, a network analyst, reverse engineer and a PoGO Dev discord member! The hype is real trainers, as shiny Latios and shiny Latias could be obtainable for the recently announced regional Tier 5 Raids!

Pictures from the live stream:

As of the time of this publication, there are no “normal” icons for Latios and Latias, but their 8-bit versions are available in the network traffic and the game is downloading them as usually:

Be aware that this doesn’t confirm that shiny Latios or shiny Latias will be available. Niantic has a tendency to upload their models before they’re actually released to the general public, mostly to provide their testers with the assets and to create hype from leaks similar to this.

However, given the recent shiny Lugia release, everything is possible.

Who is Chrales?

ZeChrales is the hidden genius behind every network leak you have read on the Hub in the last two years. He is also, possibly, the last person on the planet who’s doing network traffic analysis for Pokémon GO. In this rare interview, Chrales shared his background, motivation and methodology with the GO Hub.

We hope you will enjoy reading this as much as we enjoyed interviewing the French wizard of code. You can also check out his GitHub repository here and donate for his incredible work using this PayPal link.
