Following the success of the Tour Pass, Pokémon GO are testing a brand-new feature, the GO Pass, in select regions. It will include new ways to earn rewards, items, Pokémon encounters and more!
From Tuesday, April 1, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, May 6, at 10:00 a.m. local time, the newly arrived GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe for April will be available in Pokémon GO!
What is it?
The GO Pass is a new free, limited-time progression track available during a specific time period. You’ll work to earn GO Points by completing various tasks in game. By collecting GO Points, you can increase your rank to earn rewards.
Who can get it?
Some Trainers in certain regions will automatically receive the GO Pass: April at no cost on Tuesday, April 1, at 10:00 a.m. local time. You can collect GO Points and rank up to get additional rewards through Tuesday, May 6, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Rewards unlocked in the GO Pass will expire on Thursday, May 8, at 10:00 a.m. local time, so be sure to claim your rewards before they vanish.
Please note, the GO Pass feature is currently being tested, and both the free and paid versions of GO Pass and its rewards can only be earned and claimed in the parts of the
world that are eligible for the test.
The GO Pass Deluxe, a paid version of GO Pass, will be available for Trainers looking for upgraded rewards and faster progression. While progressing through the GO Pass Deluxe, you’ll be able to claim all of the rewards from both the free GO Pass and the GO Pass Deluxe.
You can upgrade to the GO Pass Deluxe at any time and still collect rewards from previously unlocked ranks.
Please note, the GO Pass feature is currently being tested, and both the free and paid versions of GO Pass and its rewards can only be earned and claimed in the parts of the world that are eligible for the test.

Complete Pass Tasks to rank up your GO Pass to earn the following rewards:
- Encounters with Xerneas and other Pokémon
- Stardust
- XP
- Poké Balls
- Candy
- And more!
Trainers who upgrade to the GO Pass Deluxe can also earn the following rewards:
- A Lucky Trinket
- Premium items such as Premium Battle Passes, Incense, a Lucky Egg, an Incubator, Lure Modules, and more!
- Candy XL
- Additional encounters
- And more!
Major milestone rewards
Reach Major Milestones on your GO Pass to unlock the following bonuses:
- 2x Daily Adventure Incense duration upon reaching Tier 1
- Increased XP from Research Breakthrough rewards upon reaching Tier 2
- Increased Stardust from Research Breakthrough rewards upon reaching Tier 2
- Increased Stardust and XP from hatching Eggs upon reaching Tier 3

The Lucky Trinket will return as the nal reward in the GO Pass Deluxe for this month.
- A Lucky Trinket is a one time use item that can be used to turn one friend from your Friends List into a Lucky Friend.
- When used, the Lucky Trinket will set the status of you and your chosen friend to Lucky, even if you aren’t Best Friends.
- When you are Lucky with someone, the next Pokémon you trade with them is guaranteed to be a Lucky Pokémon.
- Once you have traded, your Lucky status is cleared.
The Lucky Trinket will only stay in your item bag for a limited time, it will expire on May 11, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. local time, so make sure you use it, or lose it!
Lucky Trinket Rules
You must be at least Great Friends with your chosen trainer in order to use your Lucky Trinket, and you cannot use a Lucky Trinket if you are already Lucky friends with the trainer you have chosen.
The Lucky Trinket does not affect your trade distance. You can choose to not allow your fellow Trainers to use their Lucky Trinket with you by disabling the permissions in your in-game settings.
Pokémon GO are aiming to continually strive to improve the Pokémon GO experience. Before we launch GO Pass globally, they want to ensure GO Pass has a positive impact on the Trainer experience.
As such, some Trainers in regions with access to the GO Pass may see the following differences between passes.
- An additional encounter on certain ranks of the GO Pass Deluxe
- Modified item rewards on certain ranks of the GO Pass Deluxe
- Stickers as a reward on certain ranks of the GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe
- PokéCoins as a reward on certain ranks of the GO Pass
- Fewer overall ranks of the GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe
