Overview of TSR Arena Cups: Boulder, Twilight, Tempest and Kingdom

Trainers, can you believe it? Four TSR Cups have come and gone, and we are midway into number five and have Regionals coming up in the very near future. What better time to take a minute and look back at TSR Cups past. The following is a brief overview of each of the first four TSR cups and the Top 6 Pokemon in each respective one.

The Boulder Cup

Overview

The Boulder Cup was The Silph Arena’s first themed global tournament, featuring Rock, Ground, Fighting and Steel type Pokémon. The Cup lasted from January 6th – 31st, participants could use Pokémon that had at least 1 of the allowed types and matches could only be held in the Great League format (<1500CP).

The Twilight Cup

Overview

The Twilight Cup was The Silph Arena’s second themed global tournament, featuring Dark, Fairy, Poison and Ghost type Pokémon. The Cup lasted from February 1st – 28th, participants could use Pokémon that had at least 1 of the allowed types and matches could only be held in the Great League format (<1500CP). The Cup lasted from March 1st – 31st, participants could use Pokémon that had at least 1 of the allowed types and matches could only be held in the Great League format (<1500CP). Overview

The Kingdom Cup was Silph Arena’s fourth themed global tournament, featuring Fire, Ice, Dragon, and Steel type Pokémon. The Cup lasted from April 1st – 30th. Participants could use Pokémon that had at least 1 of the allowed types, there couldn’t be two of the same Pokémon in the team, and matches could only be held in the Great League format (<1500CP).
