Pokémon Sleep researchers! The removal of Facebook account linking has been announced, along with a report on the last Good Sleep Day event, plus the dates for the next Good Sleep Day.
Removal of Facebook Account Linking
Beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024, links with Facebook accounts will become unusable. This means you won’t be able to transfer data via Facebook after the function becomes unusable if you get a new device.
The “Search via Facebook” function for adding friends in the research community will become unavailable at the same time as the Facebook link function.
It is recommend that you link to an Apple or Google account or generate a Transfer Code soon.
• You can unlink your Facebook account before 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
• Once you unlink your Facebook account, you won’t be able to link to Facebook again.
Account linking is recommended because it makes it easier to transfer your Pokémon Sleep account from one device to another.
Good Sleep Day Report
Our sleep tends to be shorter and shallower during the full moon. However, we found that on the night of the full moon during this Good Sleep Day event, the average sleep duration of all you researchers around the world was 2 min. and 41 sec. longer than average.
Let’s take a look at the average sleep durations during Good Sleep Day compared to average sleep durations on the same days of the previous week:
- 25th January (Thurs): 7 hrs 8 min (+4 min)
- 26th January (Fri): 7 hrs 32 min (+5 min)
- 27th January (Sat): 7 hrs 40 min (-1 min)
Notes: The difference from the same days of the previous week is calculated separately for each of the three days. Only users who tracked sleep once per day were included in these calculations.
Interestingly this is the first time we’ve seen a Good Sleep Day event that a negative time, with the research community sleeping less on 27th January than they typically do on a Saturday.
