Following the announcement of massive updates coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket, exciting news has flooded the community as the new set of the C series, Dual Fusion, has been announced! As the name implies, this will be the first TCG Pocket set to feature a Dual type, with the honors going to Mega Mewtwo X ex, who will be a Psychic/Fighting type.
In addition, there are also a bunch of fan favorites and Mega Evolutions in this set. Let’s dig into all the details.
An official trailer for Dual Fusion has been released, displaying several amazing cards from the set.
The Dual Fusion (C1) set will be released on Thursday, October 29, 2026, with two packs: Dual Fusion Mega Mewtwo X and Dual Fusion Pikachu.

Here are the Pokémon revealed in the trailer
Mega Mewtwo X, Pikachu, Mew, Mega Dragonite, and Mega Greninja are all ex cards.

For the first time in TCG Pocket, a card will wield dual types. Mega Mewtwo X is a
/
type that uses
Energy and is weak to
, but can do double duty as a
type offensively.
This is how it works:
- Dual typing means that a wider pool of Pokémon are weak to its attacks. As such, Mega Mewtwo X’s attacks will do super-effective damage (+20 DMG) to Pokémon weak to Psychic and Fighting. Therefore, it deals +20 DMG to Fighting types (weak to Psychic) as well as Metal types (weak to Fighting)
- It can use all Trainer cards whose effects apply to Psychic and Fighting types. So, you can use Korrina and Arena of Antiquity to boost its damage, and Peculiar Plaza to enjoy a retreat cost of 2 less (free for Mega Mewtwo X EX!). Similarly, it can take Energy from Gardevoir
Mega Mewtwo X will function as a Basic Mega Lucario EX, with Korrina, Arena of Antiquity, and its own move mechanics contributing to 190 DMG
The B series has some of the best Pokémon in TCG Pocket, with Mega Evolutions ruling the meta time and time again. With the Deluxe Pack Mega, trainers may catch the cards they missed or simply collect new artwork of some of the coolest cards in the series. Either way, this is going to be a phenomenal set!
