Mega Pokémon that boost Hatenna

The following Pokémon will grant you extra bonuses when catching Hatenna if they are Mega/Primal evolved:

A Note on Mega Catch Bonus

While a Pokémon is Mega-Evolved, additional XP and Candy is granted when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it, or for any raid boss caught. These do not stack with each other. Additionally, High and Max Level Mega-Evolved Pokémon grant an increased chance to obtain Candy XL when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it.

Is it worth evolving Hatenna?

PVE

Hatterene might seem unassuming at first. But this Psychic and Fairy-type actually packs quite a punch. She has some fantastic fast attacks, as Psycho CutCharm, and Confusion are all good in one way or another. This works quite nicely with the fact that Hatterene has a really high attack compared to most Psychic and Fairy-types, not counting in ShadowsMegas, or Legendaries.

As a Psychic-type, Hatterene’s best moves are Psycho Cut and Psychic. As a Fairy-type, Hatterene still prefers Psycho Cut, but you’d want to replace Psychic with Dazzling Gleam. Overall, this makes Hatterene a solid Pokémon against FightingDark, and Dragon-type Pokémon. Hatterene is a solid raid attacker, whose potential can go further if a Shadow form is released.

PVP

Great League – Hatterene is attack-weighted with a low overall stat product in the Great League. However, she does have potential. Similar attack-weighted Pokémon have succeeded, and Hatterene does have a choice of three solid fast attacks. The real problem holding her back is the fact that all of her currently available charged attacks cost 50 Energy. With a Shadow form and a less costly charged attack, Hatterene can carve a niche for herself.

Ultra League – Once again, Hatterene’s overall stat product holds her back from really breaking into the Ultra League. You have much better options for both Fairy and Psychic-type coverage in the Ultra League. This is, of course, worsened by Hatterene’s lack of variety in charged attacks. Not only that, Hatterene’s Psychic typing can work as a detriment where Giratina (Altered) reigns supreme.

Master League – This should be where Hatterene excels, as she can reach her full potential in terms of stat product. But the bar for entry in the Legendary-dominated Open Master League is quite high. There are many Legendary Psychic-types at the top of the Master League. And even for Fairy-types, FlorgesZacian, and Xerneas fill that role. As such, it would be difficult for Hatterene to carve a niche for herself in the Master League.
