Piplup Community Day Classic
Pokémon GO’s first Community Day Classic of 2026 features Piplup, the adorable Penguin Pokémon, returning with its exclusive move Hydro Cannon! Join the event on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time to enjoy 1/4 Hatch Distance, increased Piplup spawns, and a chance to encounter Shiny Piplup.
Pinch Perfect
Klawf debuts during the Pokémon GO’s Pinch Perfect event that runs from January 6 to January 11, 2026. The event also sees the release of shiny Dhelmise, crustacean inspired Pokémon in the wild and more!
Kyurem Fusion Raid Day
Kyurem Fusion Raid Day takes place on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time! Battle Reshiram, Zekrom, Black Kyurem and White Kyurem in Raids, with boosted Shiny ✨ odds and bonus Raid Passes available.
High Zaptitude
Wattrel and Kilowattrel debut during the Pokémon GO’s High Zaptitude event that runs from January 13 to January 18, 2026. The event also sees the release of shiny Tadbulb, electric and flying inspired Pokémon in the wild and more!
Grookey Community Day Classic
The first Community Day of 2026 stars Grookey, the Chimp Pokémon! Join the event on Sunday, January 18, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time to enjoy 3× Catch Stardust, increased Grookey spawns, and a chance to encounter Shiny Grookey.
Evolve Thwackey during the event—or up to four hours afterwards—to obtain Rillaboom with the exclusive Charged Attack Frenzy Plant Grass.
Precious Pals
The Precious Pals event looks set to be a week of adventure with your Buddy! Enjoy the debut of shiny Fidough, boosted shiny odds for Fidough and Goldeen, limited time evolution requirements and more! The event takes place from 20th January 2026 at 10:00am, until 25th January 2026 at 8:00pm local time.
Precious Pals: Taken Over
Precious Pals: Taken Over is the latest Team GO Rocket Takeover event that runs from Friday, January 23, at 12:00 a.m. to Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
During that time, Trainers will have the opportunity to remove Frustration, save Shadow Incarnate Forme Thundurus, and face Rocket Grunts and Rocket Leaders who are using new Shadow Pokémon!
Shadow Raikou Raid Day
Shadow Raikou features in Pokémon GO during a special Shadow Raid Day event on Saturday, January 2024, 2026. Trainers can look forward to Shadow Raikou in Shadow Raids, with the potential to be shiny (with boosted odds!), and up to five additional free raid passes for the day.
Into the Depths
The Into the Depths event runs from January 27th 2026 at 10:00am, until February 1 2026 at 8:00pm. Enjoy the debut of the Glimmet family, boosted shiny Diglett and Yungoos chances, and more!
Dynamax Ho-Oh Max Battle Weekend
Dynamax Ho-Oh Max Battle Day takes place from Saturday, January 31, at 6:00 a.m. to Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. local time
During the event, all Power Spots will host Dynamax Battles, and Power Spots will refresh more frequently. If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny Ho-Oh capable of Dynamaxing.
Research Breakthrough
Complete Field Research to unlock Research Breakthrough encounters with one of the following Pokémon. These Pokémon will appear as Research Breakthrough Rewards from December 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. to March 3, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
