Note on Catch Bonus
If you do not want to catch the featured Pokémon, you can make use of the 2x Catch Candy bonus by catching any saved Scatterbug, or opening a Mystery Box or Coin Bag! You can stock up field research or leave any special or timed research encounters until Spotlight Hour to make use of this bonus. If you aren’t interested in Mienfoo candy, you could even use this bonus to get extra candy from catching raid bosses!

The following Pokémon will grant you extra bonuses when catching Mienfoo if they are Mega/Primal evolved.
A Note on Mega Catch Bonus
While a Pokémon is Mega-Evolved, additional XP and Candy is granted when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it, or for any raid boss caught. These do not stack with each other. Additionally, High and Max Level Mega-Evolved Pokémon grant an increased chance to obtain Candy XL when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it.
PVP
💎 Best PvP moveset: Force Palm, Brick Break, Brutal Swing
🔵 Great League
Mienshao’s chances in the Great League are dismal, as its bulk gets even worse in this format. While it grabs a few wins against expected targets, it is very disappointing overall. 😕
🟡 Ultra League
Things get even worse in the Ultra League, where Mienshao barely does anything notable. Stick to Shadow Machamp, Pangoro, Annihilape, or Primeape for Fighting-type attackers. 🥊
🟣 Master League
Count to five, and Mienshao is already knocked out. 😵
PVE
Poor Mienshao! It has an impressive ATK stat of 258 and a great Fast Move in Force Palm, but alas! It lacks a viable Charged Move. 😭
💎 Best PvE moveset: Force Palm, Brick Break
⚔️ Raids
Here’s a cool detail: Mienshao learns Aura Sphere in the main series games, and if it ever gets that in Pokémon GO, it would surpass even Lucario in DPS! 😲
For now, it has to settle for Brick Break, which is a pretty underwhelming move. Niantic, please give it a moveset upgrade! ‼️
🛡️ Gyms
With a terrible DEF stat of 129 and only 163 HP, Mienshao is a lost cause for Gym defense. 😶
