Spoink and Grumpig

Pokemon GO Grumpig

Pokemon GO Grumpig (Max CP 2310) and Spoink (Max CP 1285) are both psychic types, featuring a rich lore of bouncing and manipulating observers.

Spoink is known as the “Bounce Pokémon” and Grumpig as the “Manipulate Pokémon”, but their stats won’t manipulate anyone in a Gym. Grumpig’s stat distribution is uniform and well rounded, however the values are plainly mediocre, making this psychic piglet nothing more than a Pokedex filler.

Where to find Spoink and Grumpig in Pokemon GO?

In Pokémon Go, you can encounter Spoink and Grumpig in biomes similar to the accursed Drowzee biome. Cities, fields, everywhere.

Grumpig in the Pokémon GO meta

With 2310 CP, Grumpig isn’t good enough to land within the high ranks. At best Grumpig will be a mid-end defender and a low-end attacker.

If placed as a defender in a gym, Grumpig can secure the lower-mid tiers, and can fend off steel, fighting, ghost and dark type challengers.

Grumpig does not have a mega evolution. So, this is pretty much everything we can get out of this Pokémon. Its yet another Pokémon for the Pokédex.

Pokémon GO Grumpig Moves

We expect the following moves to be a part of Grumpig’s move pool:

  • Extrasensory psychic
  • Psychic psychic
  • Psyshock psychic
  • Body Slam normal
  • Brick Break fighting
  • Dynamic Punch fighting
  • Shadow Ball ghost

In addition, we expect that at least some of these moves will be added to Pokemon GO and eventually appear in Grumpig’s move pool:

  • Psywave psychic
  • Bounce flying
  • Covet normal
  • Drain Punch fighting
  • Focus Punch fighting
