Pokemon GO Zangoose

Pokemon GO Zangoose Max CP Stats Moves

Pokemon GO Zangoose (Max CP 2214) is a normal type Pokemon, with access to a wide pool of moves and a rather interesting stat distribution. Although not super exciting, this cross between a mongoose, cat and David Bowie’s album cover is a popular addition to the game.

Zangoose is known to appear in grassy areas (parks, fields, etc…) and it fosters a deep hate towards Seviper.

Zangoose in the meta

In the core games, Zangoose had a crazy wall breaker role, due to it’s incredibly high ATK stat and huge variety in the move pool. In GO, we already know that Zangoose won’t be a meta shifting Pokemon, due to it’s low Max CP and lack of oomph both as a raider and as a gym defender.

This could all change with the addition of abilities, but that’s far out speculation. In addition, Zangoose doesn’t evolve in any future generation, nor does it have a mega evolution.

Pokémon GO Zangoose Moves

Zangoose is expected to have access to a number of currently available moves, covering a lot of type signatures. This is not by accident, as Zangoose also had a varied move pool in the core games:

  • Body Slam normal
  • Close Combat fighting
  • Metal Claw steel
  • Night Slash dark
  • Shadow Claw ghost

Here are some other moves we can expect, if they’re added to the game:

  • Crush Claw normal
  • Double Hit normal
  • False Swipe normal
  • Feint normal
  • Knock Off dark
  • Retaliate normal
  • Thief dark

Shiny Zangoose in Pokemon GO

A normal Zangoose is mostly white colored. It has a deep red zigzag marking on its chest, red marking on one of its ear that goes down to its eye, and red colored fur on the distal end of its arms. It also has two black claws.

A shiny Zangoose mostly resembles that of its normal counterpart, except for the marking being deep blue in color.
