Pokémon Spotlight Hour will feature a different Pokémon and a special bonus for one hour at 6:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday during the month of July. Feebas Spotlight Hour takes place on July 15th, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm local time, with a bonus of 2x catch candy.
This Spotlight Hour is the third July 2025 Pokémon spotlight, and it is especially interesting as Feebas can be shiny!
Trainers who plan to participate should be prepared with a Mega Pokémon to maximise candy gains per Pokémon caught. Here’s everything you need to know!
Feebas Spotlight Hour
Bonuses
- You will get 2x Candy for catching Pokémon
- The featured Pokémon and its evolutions can be shiny in Pokémon GO
Note on Catch Bonus
If you do not want to catch the featured Pokémon, you can make use of the 2x Catch Candy bonus by catching any saved Scatterbug, or opening a Mystery Box or Coin Bag! You can stock up field research or leave any special or timed research encounters until Spotlight Hour to make use of this bonus. If you aren’t interested in Feebas candy, you could even use this bonus to get extra candy from catching raid bosses!
Feebas
Feebas is a Water-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO. As a Water-type Pokémon, Feebas is weak to Electric and Grass-type moves.
Feebas’s maximum Combat Power stat is 310 CP, and its best Pokémon GO moves are Tackle and Mirror Coat. Feebas encounters are boosted during Rain weather. Shiny Feebas is available! ✨
Evolutions
Shiny Feebas
Shiny Feebas turn purple – an easy one to spot! There is a gender difference in Milotic, so if you’re a collector, watch out for this one. The female Milotic has longer fins from its head.
The following Pokémon will grant you extra bonuses when catching Feebas if they are Mega/Primal evolved. It is best to use a Ground type mega so that it will boost both forms of Feebas! While a Pokémon is Mega-Evolved, additional XP and Candy is granted when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it, or for any raid boss caught. These do not stack with each other. Additionally, High and Max Level Mega-Evolved Pokémon grant an increased chance to obtain Candy XL when catching a Pokémon that shares a type with it. Milotic is actually quite decent in the Great League and particularly the Ultra League. Feebas isn’t a super common spawn so now’s a good time to pick some up. Extra bulk tends to produce better results, allowing Milotic to hang around and continue to deal out unresisted damage. Milotic ranks as a A+ tier gym defender but an F tier water-type attacker. If you’ve got enough candy to power up, it’s worth having some to pop in gyms.
