Trainers, big news ahead! Niantic is continuing to test the Legendary Lunch Hour format, this time with Giratina (Origin Forme) raids. Once again, players will have one hour of raw, unfiltered raids, featuring only Giratina. As seen on the previous Legendary Lunch Hour, all of the gyms which are not blocked by an egg will spawn a Giratina Origin forme raid at 12:00 PM.

Last Legendary Lunch Hour was a mixed experience, mostly because players were fatigued with raiding Dialga. As Liam explained in his “Initial Thoughts” article, a bit of randomness would improve the event participation and engagement.
We strongly suggest you prepare for this event, as Origin Forme Giratina is quite good – Giratina Meta Game Analysis in Pokémon GO. Make a map of non-blocked gyms in the hour preceding the event, stock up on raid passes (maybe one of the current sale boxes can help) and make sure to have proper transportation. We are not in favor of “Pokémon Drive” game play, but it is often the only viable way to do a decent number of raids.
