Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Sendai, Japan

Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Sendai, Japan is a two-day digital event available to all Trainers worldwide from May 30 – June 2, 2024 with the event running from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm local time on both days.

Pokémon GO Fest 2024 is coming to “The Greenest City” SENDAI! GO Fest 2024: Sendai is split into two different experiences between two locations: Nanakita Park, and throughout the rest of Sendai City!

Attendees will enjoy exclusive gameplay, special bonuses, and more as they adventure alongside thousands of fellow Trainers and spend half their day in Nanakita Park and half exploring the larger Sendai City area!

Tickets purchased include both the Nanakita Park AND Sendai City experience—the only difference is the time of day Trainers are at each location.

Over 70 Pokémon will appear during the event, plus special costume Pokémon, bonuses and more!

Marshadow

his year, the Mythical Pokémon Marshadow—the Gloomdweller Pokémon—is the star of the event! Marshadow will make its Pokémon GO debut during the GO Fest 2024 event in Sendai City. Follow the story told by your event-exclusive Special Research and adventure throughout the park, and get ready for your own mysterious encounter with Marshadow! Not all that hides in the dark is Marshadow, though—Trainers will also be able to encounter Klefki!

Trainers will only encounter Marshadow once no matter how many GO Fest 2024 Special Research stories they acquire and complete. If you plan to attend multiple in-person GO Fest 2024 events, the first relevant Special Research story you obtain will award your Marshadow encounter.

Any subsequent GO Fest Special Research you obtain and complete will award you with Marshadow Candy instead of a Marshadow encounter once it is completed.

Klefki

Not all that hides in the dark is Marshadow, though—Trainers will also be able to encounter Klefki! Klefki, the Key Ring Pokémon, will appear during Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Sendai Japan! This Pokémon is typically only found in France.

Trainers who attend Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Sendai Japan will be able to encounter Shiny Emolga for the first time in Pokémon GO—if they’re lucky!

Pikachu and Eevee are dressed for this special occasion! Eevee wearing a sun crown and Eevee wearing a moon crown will be exclusively available to in-person GO Fest attendees only.

Pikachu wearing a sun crown and Pikachu wearing a moon crown will also be available to in-person GO Fest attendees before Pokémon GO Fest: Global in July.

If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!

Rotom (Heat)

For eagle-eyed Trainers, Heat Rotom may appear in snapshots as a surprise encounter during in-person GO Fest events.


Park Experience Pokemon Encounter icon

Trainers who purchase a ticket will split their day between exploring Nanakita Park and adventuring throughout Sendai City, enjoying special exclusive event gameplay during both parts of the day.

Both the Morning Park Experience and the Afternoon Park Experience are the same—the only difference is the time of day Trainers are at each location.

With a Morning Park Experience ticket, you’ll spend the first part of your day within Nanakita Park before heading into Sendai City to experience a second event-exclusive gameplay experience.

  • Park Experience: 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. JST
  • City Experience: 9:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. JST

With an Afternoon Park Experience ticket, you’ll spend the first part of your day exploring Sendai City before heading to Nanakita Park to experience a second event-exclusive gameplay experience.

  • City Experience: 9:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. JST
  • Park Experience: 2:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. JST

Please note: You will only be able to play Pokémon GO within Nanakita Park during the Park Experience hours listed on your ticket.

Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Sendai Japan attendees may purchase a ticket for one day of the four-day event. One-day tickets are ¥3600 (plus applicable taxes and fees) and are available for purchase here.

You will see “Tickets Available” next to the event listing if it hasn’t sold out yet. Event gameplay will be available only at the date, time, and location specified on your ticket. It will not be possible to participate in this event without an event ticket.

Citywide Gameplay – ¥2,600

Extend the GO Fest fun and enjoy the city experience throughout Sendai City on one to two extra days of your choice! This add-on provides an additional day of the same citywide gameplay experience that is available on your primary event day; however, it does not include additional Special or Timed Research.

This add-on only enables additional citywide gameplay. The Nanakita Park event experience will only be available on your primary event day at the time indicated on your ticket.

T-Shirt Pre-order – ¥3,700

Pre-order your in-person event-exclusive Pokémon GO Fest 2024 T-shirt now and pick it up in-person during the event. Each T-shirt purchased will also come with a code that can be redeemed for a matching in-app avatar item. T-shirt quantities are limited and pre-orders will only be available while supplies last.

No returns, exchanges, or cancellations will be allowed. The same T-shirt design (in a different color) will be available for sale (while supplies last) on Niantic Supply in select countries.

  1. Open the Pokémon GO app.
  2. In Map View, tap the Main Menu button.
  3. Tap Events.
  4. On the following page, all upcoming live events will be listed, with the soonest event at the top.
  5. You’ll see the label “Tickets Available!” next to a first-come first-served event if it hasn’t sold out yet.
  6. Tap the event to select the date and time you wish to attend, purchase tickets for friends (see the “Gift a ticket to a friend!” section), and input your payment information to complete your purchase.
  7. On the payment confirmation page, please note your order ID. You’ll also receive a confirmation email at the address you entered before payment.
