Dive into the very first week of the Max Out Season in Pokémon GO! The Season starts on 3rd September, but the week begins on the 2nd. New Pokémon from the Galar season debut!
Highlights:
- GO All Out with new Pokémon from the Galar region

- Battle enthusiasts can gear up for the GO Battle League Season 20, while raiders prepare for epic confrontations with Kyogre, and Mega Absol in Mega Raids!
- And keep your eyes peeled for the elusive Shiny Shadow Raikou! There’s a plethora of adventures waiting, so trainers, gear up and set out!
From September 3 – September 10, new Pokémon from the Galar region will debut in the GO All Out event! Meet the First Partner Pokémon of Galar, Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble, as well as Dragon and Ghost type Dreepy. Plus shiny Wooloo and Skwovet debut!
Shiny Falinks makes their first appearance in Pokémon GO on Falinks Raid Day! It takes place on September 8th from 2-5pm local time.
A new Special Research story with branching paths will be available to Trainers! Throughout Pokémon GO: Max Out, you’ll be able to reach new heights with your chosen partner Pokémon.
Depending on which partner Pokémon you choose, your Postcard Book background will change to celebrate your choice!
You can claim this Special Research at no cost from Tuesday, September 3, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 9:59 a.m. local time.
A new ticket will be available for the Daily Coin Bounty, starting Tueday, September 3, 2024 at 12:00 AM local time, and ending Friday, October 2, 2024 at 11:59 PM local time. There will be new ways to earn coins, plus special bonuses!
GO Battle League: Max Out will commence on GO Battle League: Max Out will start on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −8).
The following will occur at the beginning of the Season:
- End-of-Season rewards will be available on the Battle screen.
- Your GO Battle League rank will be reset.
- Rank-up requirements will remain the same as the prior Season.

Raid Hour

Wednesday September 4th 6pm till 7pm local time Kyogre will appear in five-star raids.
Mega Raids

From August 21 – September 3 Mega Salamence will appear in Mega Raids.

From September 3 – September 14 Mega Absol will appear in Mega Raids.
Five-Star Raids

From August 21 – September 3 Xerneas will appear in five-star Raids.

From September 3 – September 14 Kyogre will appear in five-star Raids.
Shadow Raids

One-star and three-star Shadow Raids will be available daily, while five-star Shadow Raids will take place on Saturdays and Sundays unless otherwise noted. Also, Shadow Raikou will swoop into five-star Shadow Raids during Max Out!
You may even encounter a Shiny Shadow Raikou—if you’re lucky!
The following bonuses are specific to Max Out:
- Increased XP for a seven-day PokéStop spin streak
- Increased XP and Stardust for a seven-day Pokémon catch streak
- Increased XP from going up a Friendship level
- One additional Candy when trading Pokémon
- Trainers level 31 and above will receive one guaranteed Candy XL when trading Pokémon
- From September 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. to December 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
- Complete Field Research tasks during the whole season to earn an encounter from the pool of Pokémon below:
Season of Max Out Field Research Tasks
