Pokemon GO Grumpig (Max CP 2310) evolves from a Pokemon GO Spoink (Max CP 1285) and both are pure Psychic types. Grumpig’s best moveset is Extrasensory with Shadow Ball.
Spoink is known as the “Bounce Pokémon” and Grumpig as the “Manipulate Pokémon”, but their stats won’t manipulate anyone in a Gym or in a raid. Grumpig’s stat distribution is uniform and well rounded, however the values are plainly mediocre, making this psychic piglet nothing more than a Pokedex filler.
Where to find Spoink and Grumpig in Pokemon GO?
In Pokémon Go, you can encounter Spoink and Grumpig in biomes similar to the accursed Drowzee biome. Cities, fields, everywhere.
Also for some reason those two piglets love Windy weather so if you are trying to just get it or max out your Grumpig when it blows get out there.

Grumpig in the Pokémon GO meta
With 2310 CP, Grumpig isn’t good enough to land within the high ranks.
If placed as a defender in a gym, Grumpig is comparable to Slowbro with a bit more Defense that makes it up for a bit lower Stamina. But when it comes to Raid Battles it can be used against Fighting or Psychic Bosses but it will definitely won’t be in your first team.
Grumpig does not have a mega evolution. So, this is pretty much everything we can get out of this Pokémon. Its yet another Pokémon for the Pokédex.

It looks like best moveset due to its type should be Extrasensory and Psychic, but in reality it’s Extrasensory and Shadow Ball — you are most likely to use Grumpig in Gym Defense and Shadow Ball will do more damage even though it lacks STAB.

Shiny Spoink and Shiny Grumpig in Pokemon GO
A normal Spoink is gray throughout its body, it has dark colored circular eyes, and has a pink pearl-like structure on its head. A normal Grumpig has a purple upper body up to its face. It’s lower body is black along with its upper extremities, lower extremities, and its ears. It also has 2 black pearls on its head and one on its chest.
A shiny Spoink is tan colored throughout its body, and has a black pearl-like structure on its head. A shiny Grumpig is similar to its normal counterpart except that it has a cream upper body up to its face.
