Nagandel

During the Ultra Space Wonders event starting on May 23rd, the final part of the free Seasonal Special Research will be made available to all Trainers. Trainers will be able to evolve Poipole into Naganadel by using 200 Poipole Candy after catching 20 Dragon-type Pokémon with Poipole as their Buddy. You will not be able to obtain shiny Nagandel/Poipole.
Blacephalon & Stakataka
Blacephalon and Stakata debut in 5-Star raids during the Ultra Space Wonders event starting on the 23rd of May at 10am local time. Blacephalon raids will be spawning in the Western Hemisphere and Stakataka in the Eastern Hemisphere. They will not be shiny eligible. Trainers will be able to remote raid to access these Pokémon on May 23rd.
Necrozma

In-Person GO Fest Ticket
Necrozma raids will be available during in-person GO Fest Events. If you have an in-person ticket, Necrozma can be shiny.
Note: Trainers without an active ticket for Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Sendai, Madrid, or New York City can participate in Necrozma raids, but they won’t be able to encounter a Shiny one until Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global.
Global ticket & F2P
Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma will be available in Raid Battles on day 2, July 14th, of GO Fest Global. By completing these raid battles Trainers have the chance to get an encounter with Necrozma which can be shiny, Solar or Lunar Fusion Energy and Cosmog Candy.
Dusk Mane & Dawn Wings Necrozma
Dusk Mane Necrozma can be created by fusing Solgaleo and Necrozma, using Solar Fusion Energy. You need the following resources to create a Dusk Mane Necrozma:
- 30 Cosmog Candy
- 30 Necrozma Candy
- 1000 Solar Fusion Energy
Dawn Wings Necrozma can be created by fusing Lunala and Necrozma, using Lunar Fusion Energy. You need the following resources to create a Dawn Wings Necrozma:
- 30 Cosmog Candy
- 30 Necrozma Candy
- 1000 Lunar Fusion Energy
We asked Niantic to clarify a couple of hot topics regarding Necrozma’s IVs and how they transfer to fused forms, as well as some questions about the cost:
- Fused forms will inherit Necrozma’s IVs, just as they do in the main series games
- When Necrozma is fused, it keeps all the characteristics, including IVs, from its base form, rather than pooling with Solgaleo/Lunala, so you’ll need to get everything you want on Necrozma. Solgaleo/Lunala won’t have any bearing on Necrozma’s stats when fused.
- Same thing applies for Shiny status – shiny Necrozma will result in shiny Dawn Wings and Dusk Mane Necrozma
- There will be no reduction in Fusion cost when you fuse the same Necrozma multiple times. This is by design, as this process is different from Mega Evolving a Pokémon. Fusions are semi-permanent, hence it no reduced cost
- The process to collect Solar and Lunar Fusion Energy is expected to take more fights than it takes to obtain Mega Energy
In-Person GO Fest Ticket
Trainers with an active in-person GO Fest 2024 ticket will unlock Special Research that will grant enough Solar Fusion Energy or Lunar Fusion Energy to fuse Necrozma once into Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma depending on their branching quest choice.
Upon successfully completing a Necrozma raid, Trainers will have the opportunity to catch Necrozma and then use collected Fusion Energy from research to fuse Necrozma with Solgaleo to create Dusk Mane Necrozma or Lunala to create Dawn Wings Necrozma!
Global GO Fest Ticket
On day 2 of GO Fest Global, special research will be unlocked which leads to a Solgaleo or Lunala encounter, as well as Solar or Lunar fusion energy.
During Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global, Trainers will also receive Cosmog Candy upon successfully completing one of these raids.
F2P
Fusion Energy will become available globally beginning with Day 2 of Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global, July 14th. Trainers will be able to earn Solar Fusion Energy or Lunar Fusion Energy by defeating Dusk Mane Necrozma or Dawn Wings Necrozma in Raid Battles. By completing these raid battles Trainers have the chance to get an encounter with Necrozma, Solar or Lunar Fusion Energy and Cosmog Candy.
Marshadow

In-Person GO Fest Ticket
This shadowy Pokémon will make its debut in exclusive in-person GO Fest ticket holder research! Follow the story told by your event-exclusive Special Research and adventure throughout the park, and get ready for your own mysterious encounter with Marshadow!
Global GO Fest Ticket
GO Fest Global Ticket-holding Trainers will be able to complete exclusive Special Research unlocked on July 13th to learn more about the Mythical Pokémon Marshadow—and have an opportunity to encounter it!
Trainers will only encounter Marshadow once no matter how many GO Fest 2024 Special Research stories they acquire and complete. If you plan to attend multiple in-person GO Fest 2024 events, the first relevant Special Research story you obtain will award your Marshadow encounter.
Any subsequent GO Fest Special Research you obtain and complete will award you with Marshadow Candy instead of a Marshadow encounter once it is completed.
F2P
We do not have any information on when Marshadow will debut to F2P players. It may occur in the future, but it also may not.
