Hello Trainers! 0.257.0 is rolling out to a device near you and it brings with it hints at Kecleon, a new winter map, hints at Kecleon, Sparkly Incenses and Lures, hints at Kecleon, and more!
Please read through all of this with a grain of salt – we often post data mining reports which end up taking months to release, and we don’t want our readers to be disappointed. Be smart, read this like speculation, and be happy once it goes live.
💡 Disclaimer: You know the drill by now, everything in this article is data mined, and therefore subject to change or not even being released at all. All of this information is publicly provided by the PokéMiners and includes some of my commentaries.
It appears that we’re getting a winter map, it will be in line with the Halloween map we got with piles of snow and different textures for parks, roads, and grass.
New App Icon
New App Icon for the new season. Better late than never, I guess?
IsCamoPokemon TransparentEncounter fadeToInvisibleDuration fadeToVisibleDuration delayBeforeInvisFadeInSeconds delayBeforeInvisFadeFirstTimeInSeconds delayBeforeInvisFadeAfterAttackInSeconds
This is all obviously for Kecleon. When the encounter starts you’ll be able to see Kecleon, then it will fade invisible and you’ll have to try and catch it while it’s invisible. Like Mew, way back when. It’s entirely possible that they’re going to release it as a surprise during the announced Hoenn Go Tour in February.
Or this is for some other Pokémon that can be invisible…
Sparkly Incense and Lure
A couple of new items, Sparkly Incense and Sparkly Lure. This was apparently added to the inventory key section, but not the actual inventory itself which is weird.
The game also tracks how many of these you’ve used, and if you are currently running one.
No, I don’t think this is a lure that will give you better shiny odds.
Interactive Map Pokemon
Rocket stops are now able to spawn Pokémon near them. As a reminder, Gimmighoul stops are technically considered “Rocket” stops in the game code. So that’s likely what this is for.
Interactions to Complete
minInteractionsToComplete maxInteractionsToComplete interactionCooldownDuration finalInteractionDelayDuration
There is a minimum and maximum interaction count. Perhaps you’ll get a coin for every time you click on Gimmighoul?
On the map
timeToMoveBetweenPlacementsDuration timeToRotateBeforeMovingDuration timeToWindupAnimationDuration timeToPlayWalkAnimationDuration
It looks like the Pokémon will be able to walk around

Raid Friend Request
You’ll be able to add the people you’re raiding with as friends. There will be an option to turn this off if you don’t want rando’s trying to be your friend.
Raid Timer Updates
LobbyRingTimer SetTimer progressbar inPersonLobbyTimer remoteLobbyTimer
You’ll now be able to see how long is left on a raid lobby timer before you enter the raid lobby. Also, in person and remote raids now have separate lobby timers
Full Moon Evolve
Support for a full moon in the game. A full moon is required to evolve Ursaring to Ursaluna, so this is likely a way to have a full moon appear in-game maybe in conjunction with full moons in real life?
Apparently, there are only 2 phases to the moon, Full and not full.
Nope, can’t evolve. Evolution coming 2025.
The Pokéminers indicated that most of the code involved with this was obfuscated, but this looks like the game will track something weekly and reset at some point on Saturday. They said the code was found near the other Pokémon Sleep stuff. So maybe we’ll get rewards from the weekly sleep tracking on Saturdays so as to not overlap with the rest of the weekly rewards we get on Mondays?
The log was updated to indicate when you catch a Mega Pokémon specifically. The Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre are technically “Megas” in the code.
I think they meant Pokémon Home…
That’s all for this one, thanks to the PokéMiners for all their hard work. Stay safe out there!
