Wishes come true in the Season of Mythical Wishes! Trainers around the world will be able to purchase a ticket for a Masterwork Research to encounter Shiny Jirachi*. This will be available to purchase in the shop and is the only ticketed component of the Global event.
Tickets will be available for purchase in the in-game shop for US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency, plus any applicable taxes and fees) from Monday, February 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. PST until Monday, March 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. PST. Tickets cannot be purchased with PokéCoins. Tickets to this event are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service).
(*) A shorter version of this Masterwork Research will be available at the in-person Las Vegas event. Trainers who have access to this shorter research will not be able to purchase an additional ticket for the longer research.
Chasing Legends Special Research
Special Research featuring Rhi will be available during the event. Rhi has been tasked by Professor Willow with researching Hoenn folklore about Blue and Red orbs, items said to be connected to Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon.
Ruby vs. Sapphire Challenge
As earth and sea clash, you’ll have to pick a side! All trainers will need to pick between a Ruby and Sapphire Badge, and the team you pick will shape your Pokémon encounters. Trainers who attend the Las Vegas in-person event will pick their badge in Vegas, and it will carry over into the global event.
Primal Kyogre and Groudon debut
Primal Kyogre and Groudon will be making waves and crashing into Pokémon GO for the first time! Primal Reversion is said to restore a Pokémon’s true powers as it absorbs the energy of nature to greatly increase its power, making these two Legendary Pokémon more powerful than ever!

Enhanced Play: Las Vegas
A Special In-Person ticketed Hoenn Celebration will be held in Las Vegas, February 18-19 2023. Trainers who attend this event will get a Special Research storyline where they team up with Team Rocket (?!), as well as Timed Research. Increased shiny rates and additional special bonuses will also be in effect for ticket holders.
