Kleavor – Sycther’s Hisuan Evolution – revealed

Posted in

A recent trailer for the Pokémon Legends Arceus has revealed a new Pokémon which Scyther can evolve into: Kleavor. Kleavor is a new Bug and Rock type available in the Hisui region where Legends: Arceus is set to take place.

As with previous Pokémon main series games, we expect Pokémon from the Hisui region to be available in Pokémon GO through a crossover (or promotional) event. With that said, let’s take a look at Kleavor.

You can learn more about the game here: legends.pokemon.com and watch the trailer below:

Kleavor

CATEGORY Axe Pokémon
TYPE Bug/Rock
HEIGHT 5’11”
WEIGHT 196.2 lbs.

Parts of Its Body Have Turned to Stone

Special minerals found in the Hisui region cause Scyther to evolve into this Pokémon. Parts of its body have hardened into stone. The stone parts often get chipped during fierce battles, and Kleavor that have survived many battles will display larger chipping across their bodies.

However, the chipping actually makes these stone parts sharper, increasing their slicing power. It is said that the people of Hisui once used pieces of stone that had fallen from Kleavor to craft tools.

It Attacks with Its Axe-Like Arms

Even a casual swing from one of Kleavor’s large, axe-like arms is capable of delivering a devastating blow, dealing massive damage to the hardiest of opponents. Kleavor uses its arms to carve symbols into tree trunks and even chop trees down to mark its territory.

If you come across trees with markings made by a sharp blade or a row of trees cut down in a crisscross pattern, it could be the doing of Kleavor.

Other Hisuan Pokémon

Kleavor is not the only Hsuan Pokémon that has been revealed to date. Here’s a short list of the new Pokémon we expect to find their way into GO after Pokémon Legends: Arceus releases.

Wyrdeer

In the Hisui region, Stantler can evolve into Wyrdeer. This Pokémon has been treasured since long ago by the people of this region, for whom it is indispensable. Normal and Psychic type.

Hisuian Braviary

When Rufflet in the Hisui region evolve, they become Hisuian Braviary. In the winter, this Pokémon flies in from somewhere farther north. Psychic and Flying type.

Hisuian Growlithe

This is Growlithe as it appears in the Hisui region. Its Hisuian form has longer, more voluminous fur than the previously discovered form of Growlithe. Fire and Rock type.

Basculegion

Basculin in the Hisui region can evolve into Basculegion. This Evolution occurs when a Basculin is possessed by the souls of other Basculin from its school that could not withstand the harsh journey upstream. Water and Ghost type.
