Get hyped, another new Mega Pokémon has been revealed ahead of the upcoming pokemon Legends: Z-A game being released, Mega Hawlucha! It joins the already announced Mega Dragonite and Mega Victreebel, and now more than ever, it looks like the alleged leaked Mega list is true.
Mega Hawlucha was revealed in a fun YouTube video called ‘FULL MATCH: Hawlucha vs Machamp’, inspired by Pokémon animated series episode ‘The Forest Champion!’
Mega Hawlucha remains with the original clear inspiration for Hawlucha, Lucha Libre! It bulks up, gains sparkles, and looks generally fabulous! With the initial design being a Luchadore, it makes perfect sense for Mega Hawlucha become a larger and more menacing version of these masked wrestlers! Sticking true to the roots of Mexican wrestling, Mega Hawlucha’s wings become more of a cape, the feathers around the waist develop into more of a distinct belt, their neck-piece becomes larger and grander with gold sparkles, and their mask becomes more elaborate. The plummage from the top of the mask is reminiscent of some of the incredible feather headdresses often seen worn by Luchadores as they enter the arena.

Hawlucha is a Fighting and Flying-type Pokémon. As a Fighting and Flying-type Pokémon, Hawlucha is weak to Electric, Fairy, Flying, Ice, and Psychic-type moves. Hawlucha is a Regional Pokémon, only currently available to catch in Mexico, so this may be a new way to potentially obtain a very rare regional in Pokémon GO when the Mega is eventually released!
Another trailer has also been released showcasing Mega Hawlucha in Pokémon Legends: Z-A to show how it looks in game.
Here is the official render for Mega Hawlucha! What do you think of the design? We are obsessed!
