Niantic Announce Support for Local Community During Pokémon GO: Unova Tour Los Angeles

The upcoming Pokémon GO: Unova Tour Los Angeles is due to take place at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles, from February 21st to 23rd 2025. Many trainers wondered if this in-person event would be able to take place as planned because of the devastating wild fires that have affected the local area in recent months, but it has been confirmed that it will go ahead as planned.

Niantic have also now announced that they will be contributing to relief efforts, with opportunities for Pokémon GO trainers attending the event to get involved too. Niantic and The Pokémon Company group will donate $1 million to non-profit organisations who are supporting the relief efforts for the local LA community.

Niantic advise trainers to make themselves aware of any guidance from local officials and government agencies to keep you safe, and to be mindful of the areas that have been impacted by these devastating wild fires.

For trainers participating in the city-wide gameplay, local Community Ambassadors will be hosting official meet-ups in locations that are safe and fun to play in. You can utilise Campfire to find these meet-ups and check in with them!

Here at the Hub we send our love and thoughts to Trainers living in Los Angeles who have been impacted by the wild fires. Stay safe during Unova Tour, and be kind to your fellow trainers.
