On Monday, August 11th, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Dynamax Trubbish will appear in Max Battles! Dynamax Trubbish will continue to appear from August 11 to August 18 in Max Battles:
Spotlight Hour: Plusle and Minun
On Tuesday, August 12th, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Plusle and Minin will be the featured Pokémon for Spotlight Hour, along with 2× XP for catching Pokémon!
Raid Hour: Ho-Oh
On Wednesday, August 13th, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Ho-Oh will be the featured Pokémon for Raid Hour!
Events in Pokémon GO This Week
Delightful Days: Taken Over
Delightful Days: Taken Over is the latest Team GO Rocket Takeover event that runs from Monday, August 11, at 12:00 a.m. to Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. local time. During that time, Trainers will have the opportunity to remove Frustration, save Shadow Giratina, and face Rocket Grunts and Rocket Leaders who are using new Shadow Pokémon!
Pokémon GO World Championships 2025
The Pokémon GO World Championships 2025 is a global event running from August 15 to August 17, 2025. This event introduces Varsity Jacket Pikachu! On top of that, enjoy special raids and spawns, and the ability to evolve certain Pokémon to obtain their special moves.
Kyogre Shadow Raid Day
Shadow Kyogre will appear in five-star Shadow Raids from Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. to Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 10:00 p.m local time. Additionally, Trainers will
receive one additional Raid Pass from spinning Photo Discs at Gyms each day during the event hours.

From August 11th to August 18th, Ho-Oh will appear in the five-star raids.

Shadow Raids
One-star and three-star Shadow Raids will be available daily, while five-star Shadow Raids will take place on Saturdays and Sundays unless otherwise noted. Also, Shadow Regirock will swoop into five-star Shadow Raids during Delightful Days! You may even encounter a Shiny Shadow Regirock—if you’re lucky!
Egg-pedition Access
Eggs-pedition Access returns during Delightful Days! Every month, Trainers will be able to purchase a ticket that includes bonuses and Timed Research. Trainers will also receive an Incubator with their first PokéStop or Gym Photo Disc spin every day!
GO Battle League Season 23
GO Battle League: Delightful Days begins on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7).
The following will occur at the beginning of the Season:
- End-of-Season rewards will be available on the Battle screen.
- Your GO Battle League rank will be reset.
- Rank-up requirements will remain the same as the prior Season.
