Adventure Week 2024
Adventure Week is back, and with a smashing shiny boost to certain Pokémon! Enjoy special 7km eggs, extra XP for hatching and more starting Friday, August 2, at 10:00 a.m. local time until Monday, August 12, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. local time.
Adventure Week 2024: Taken Over
Shadow Cresselia
August 8 – August 12, 12:00 a.m – 11:59 p.m. is Adventure Week: Taken Over, with Team GO Rocket armed with new Pokémon! Save Shadow Cresselia from Giovanni, see grunts armed with new fossil themed shadow Pokémon and more!
Pokémon World Championships 2024 Event
Mienfoo
Mienfoo makes their shiny debut as part of the Pokémon World Championships 2024 event, along with a special event themed Pikachu! Starting August 16th at 10:00am, until August 20th, 8:00pm local time.
August 2024 Community Day Classic

August Community Day Classic takes place on August 18, 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and features Beldum!
GO Battle Week: Shared Skies
From Friday, August 16, 2024, at 12:00 a.m. local time to Tuesday, August 20, 2024,
at 11:59 p.m. local time is the GO Battle Week: Shared Skies edition! Free battle-themed Timed Research will be available, with rewards including a wig avatar item inspired by Lana.
Soaring Skies Monthly Timed Research
During each month of Pokémon GO: Shared Skies, Trainers will receive free monthly Timed Research! Be sure to regularly check the in-game Events tab for details. Check out full details of the Research here.
GO Battle League Season 19
GO Battle League: Shared Skies will start on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8).
The following will occur at the beginning of the Season.
- End-of-Season rewards will be available on the battle screen.
- Your GO Battle League rank will be reset.
- Rank-up requirements will remain the same as the prior Season.

Shadow Raids
Shadow Suicune
One-star and three-star Shadow Raids will be available daily, while five-star Shadow Raids will take place on Saturdays and Sundays unless otherwise noted. Also, Shadow Suicune will swoop into five-star Shadow Raids during Shared Skies!
You may even encounter a Shiny Shadow Suicune—if you’re lucky!
Season of Shared Skies
The following bonuses are specific to Shared Skies:
One additional Special Trade per day.
Trainers level 31 and above will have a higher chance to receive Candy XL from exploring with their buddy.
Increased XP for the first catch of the day.
Season of Shared Skies Research Breakthrough
- From June 1, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7) to September 3, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.
PDT (GMT -7) - Complete Field Research tasks during the whole season to earn an encounter from a pool of Pokémon, including Hisuian Growlithe, Furfrou, Audino, Larvitar, Jangmo-o and Axew.
Season of Shared Skies Field Research Tasks
Field Research tasks that previously rotated on a monthly basis will now rotate Seasonally. Field Research tasks that award an encounter with Spinda will still rotate monthly. For a full list of the season field research tasks check out our list here.
