Coming this week in Pokémon GO, commencing 4th July we have GO Battle Weekend and Pokémon GO Anniversary Week event!
Pokémon Go Anniversary Week
From Wednesday July 6 at 10:00am local time, to Tuesday July 12 at 8:00pm local time we have a special six themed anniversary event, which includes a special emphasis on fan favourite Charizard, which is #006 in the Pokédex. We have event themed tasks, a Battle Weekend, Timed Research, and more to look forward to.
We hope you like costume Pokémon!
Party hat Chameleon, Party Hat Charizard, and Cake Costume Pikachu all make their Pokémon GO debuts! If you are lucky, you may encounter shiny versions of all three of these new party themed Pokémon.
GO Battle Weekend
Saturday, July 9, 2022, from 12:00 a.m. to Sunday, July 10, 2022, 11:59 p.m. local time. Celebrate Pokémon GO’s anniversary with a weekend full of battling!

Remember to save these dates as we will have our first GO Battle Weekend. Will you be up for 200 battles in 2 days? While this may sound exhausting, this will be a great opportunity to try your best at climbing the ranked ladder.

GO Battle League Season 11
GO Battle League Season 11 will start on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7).
The following will occur at the beginning of the season:
• End-of-season rewards will be available on the battle screen.
• Your GO Battle League rank will be reset.
• Rank-up requirements will remain the same as in Season 10.

Spotlight Hour
Tuesday 5th July 6pm till 7pm local time we have Ledyba as the featured Pokémon for spotlight hour, along with a 2x XP for catching Pokémon.
Raid Hour
Wednesday 6th July 6pm till 7pm local time Articuno will be appearing in 5-star raids for raid hour.
July Research Breakthrough Encounters
From Friday, July 1st, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7) to Monday, August 1st, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7) Lickitung will be featured in the weekly research breakthrough box. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!
Mega Raids
From Friday, July 1, 2022, to Thursday, June 7, 2022 Mega Charizard X will be appearing in Mega Raids.
From Thursday, July 7, 2022, to Thursday, July 14, 2022 Mega Charizard Y will be appearing in Mega Raids.
