Arrokuda and Cramorant make their Pokémon GO debuts during the Ultra Unlock: Water Festival 2026 event! Running from Tuesday, August 18, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, August 24, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time, the event features a new GO Pass, boosted Shiny rates for select Pokémon, escalating catch bonuses, and more.
Water Festival also includes an Ultra Unlock bonus earned by Trainers during Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global.

Event Bonuses
The following bonuses are active during the Pokémon GO Ultra Unlock: Water Festival 2026 event:
Rainy Lure Modules will attract Arrokuda.
Increased chance to encounter Shiny Ducklett and Shiny Dewpider.
2× XP for catching Pokémon.

Ultra Unlock Boost
These bonuses will be boosted from August 20 to August 24 as part of the Ultra Unlock boost that was unlocked during GO Fest 2026 Global (all times are local times):

Pokémon Debut
The following Pokémon first discovered in the Galar region will make their Pokémon GO debuts in Field Research task rewards and via the GO Pass and Rainy Lure Modules:
You can use 50 Arrokuda Candy to evolve Arrokuda into Barraskewda.
Cramorant will make its Pokémon GO debut in Eggs, the GO Pass, and GO Battle League reward encounters. Cramorant will be able to change form in battle, making a splash in PvP!
During the event, Cramorant will appear in both GO Battle League reward tracks starting at Rank 16. It will appear more frequently in the premium track.
Cramorant will not be eligible in the Competitors Cup.

GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe
From Tuesday, August 18, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, August 24, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time, the GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe for Water Festival will be available in Pokémon GO.
A GO Pass is a free, limited-time progression track available during a specified period. By collecting GO Points, you can increase your rank to earn rewards.
Trainers will automatically receive GO Pass: Water Festival on Tuesday, August 18 at 10:00 a.m. local time. You can collect GO Points and rank up to get additional rewards through Monday, August 24, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Rewards unlocked in the GO Pass will expire on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time,, so be sure to claim your rewards before they’re gone.

For US$6.99, Trainers can upgrade to the GO Pass Deluxe + 6 Ranks to also automatically earn enough GO Points to reach Rank 7.
While progressing through the GO Pass Deluxe, you’ll be able to claim all of the rewards from both the free GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe. You can upgrade to a GO Pass Deluxe at any time and still collect rewards from previously unlocked ranks.
