Coming this week in Pokémon GO, commencing 7th March we have the Welcome to Alola event, and Sandshrew Community Day!
Welcome to Alola Event
The Welcome to Alola Event will start on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time till Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
To commemorate the arrival of new Pokémon originally discovered in Alola, the following Pokémon will be appearing more frequently in the wild:
If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny Yungoos!
Sandrew Community Day
Sunday, March 13, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time

Incense activated during the event will last for three hours.

Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.

Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
Evolve Kantoian Sandshrew during the event or up to two hours afterward to get a Kantoian Sandslash that knows the Charged Attack Night Slash. Night Slash is a Dark type move. Evolve Alolan Sandshrew during the event or up to two hours afterward to get an Alolan Sandslash that knows the Fast Attack Shadow Claw.

The GO Battle League’s Interlude Season will start on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT –8) and end on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT –8).

Spotlight Hour
Tuesday 8th March 6pm till 7pm local time we have Exeggcute as the featured Pokémon for spotlight hour, along with a 2x XP for evolving Pokémon.

Wednesday 9th March 6pm till 7pm local time Tapu Koko will be appearing in five-star raids.
March Research Breakthrough Encounters
From Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PST to Friday, April 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7) Alolan Vulpix will be featured in your weekly Research Breakthrough box.
Mega Raids
From Tuesday, March 1, 2022, to Tuesday, March 15, 2022 Mega Venusaur will be appearing in Mega raids.
Five Star Raids
From Tuesday, March 1, 2022, to Tuesday, March 15, 2022 Tapu Koko will be in 5-star raids.

Season of Alola
Seasonal Bonuses
During the Season of Alola, the following bonuses will be active:
- Increased Incense effectiveness while moving
- Increased damage for Pokémon participating in raids remotely
- Guaranteed Gifts from PokéStop spins
- Up to two free Raid Passes per day by spinning Gym Photo Discs
- Incense will last for 90 minutes
