Solstice Horizons event returns to Pokémon GO, running from Friday, June 16 at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, June 25 at 8:00 p.m. local time, giving Trainers a unique opportunity to catch Pokémon associated to day and night. Shiny Fomantis debuts in Pokémon GO!

Event Bonuses
During this event, Pokémon such as Lunatone and Solrock will appear in the wild regardless of your location, and Trainers can earn 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.

- For the first time in Pokémon GO history, you'll also have the chance to encounter Shiny Fomantis!

Starry Skies Special Research
For US$5.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you can pick up the exclusive Special Research story, Starry Skies.
Tickets will be available to purchase this Special Research story, which leads to an encounter with Cosmog, during the event and until Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Ticket holders will gain access to the Special Research story during the Solstice Horizons event.
To receive the Special Research, you must open Pokémon GO at some point between Friday, June 16, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time. After you’ve received the Special Research, you can complete it at any time.
Note on the Free Cosmog Special Research
CosmogNiantic told us that there will be a separate, free Special Research leading to a Cosmog encounter. Completing both will rewards Cosmog twice. You can buy the Starry Skies and complete the free version of the Cosmog Special Research as well.
