How to Get Black and White Kyurem in Pokémon GO

Black and White Kyurem first debut during GO Tour Unova, February 21 – 23, 2025, at Los Angeles and New Taipei City. Participating Trainers will gain access to a Special Research Story during their park ticketed event day, that will allow them to learn more about this new type of Pokémon Fusion.

On March 1 2025 Black and White Kyurem will debut globally in five-star raids during the global Unova Tour! When completing the five-star raid for either Black or White Kyurem, you will then have the opportunity to catch Kyurem in its unfused form.

Pokémon Fusion Rules General icon

Thanks to Pokémon Fusion, Kyurem will be able to fuse with either Reshiram or Zekrom  with DNA Splicers!

The fusion will take on all the stats of the Kyurem, and will not be impacted by the stats of the Reshiram or Zekrom, so we recommend using your bad IV Reshiram and Zekrom for your fusions, with good IV Kyurem.

Due to this, you’ll need to get everything you want on your Kyurem, not your Reshiram or Zekrom. Think best buddy, shiny, lucky status and special background. Reshiram or Zekrom won’t have any bearing on Black or White Kyurem’s stats when fused.

Fused Kyurem will remain in their fused form until you choose to separate them. Separating does not cost any Energy or Candy, but re-fusing them will require Energy and Candy.

Black and White Kyurem cannot be traded, transferred to the Professor, or sent to Pokémon HOME.

Volt Fusion Energy and Blaze Fusion Energy General icon

Volt Fusion Energy and Blaze Fusion Energy are a new type of rare Energy that is used to fuse Kyurem into it’s powerful Black and White alternative forms.
