Legacy 40 Challenge is a Timed Research quest line released alongside the Pokémon GO Beyond Update, running from December 1 to December 31, 2020 at 11:59 p.m.
This research quest line is only available for Level 40 players and it allows players to collect the elusive Gyarados Hat, earn the Legacy 40 Trainer title and an exclusive Legacy 40 medal.
In order to get the Legacy 40 Challenge research, you need to reach Level 40 before end of 2020.
