With the completion of the final Community Day in the Season of Heritage, Niantic has announced the Community Day dates for the next season! As is standard for Niantic, they haven’t announced what the Pokémon for those dates are just yet, but we know the dates.
Dates for next season’s Community Day
- Community Day March 2022: Sunday, March 13, 2022
- Community Day April 2022: Saturday, April 23, 2022
- Community Day May 2022: Saturday, May 21, 2022
We anticipate that these Community days will follow the 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time schedule, but Niantic did not include that with their announcement so we’ll have to stay tuned to see if they change the times on us again.
There was also no announcement of another Community Day “Classic.” If you remember we had our very first Community Day Classic back in January featuring Bulbasaur.
Kratos compiled the feedback and it would seem that the idea went over fairly well with over 50% of the 5700+ votes on a poll on The Silph Road Subreddit indicated that they would like to see a Community Day Classic Monthly .
Niantic did say that Bulbasaur Community Day Classic was a trial run, and that trainer feedback would play a key role in determining how they moved forward with the idea.
2022 Potential Pokémon
It’s always fun to speculate on what Community Day Pokémon we’ll get. Spindiana wrote a great article with a whole list speculating on what we’d get as Community Day Pokémon in 2022 I suggest you go check it out.
We’ve had Spheal and Hoppip so far in 2022, what will come next? Will we finally get Deino or Axew? Maybe the Kalos starters will get their obligatory Community Days. Maybe they’ll tie the featured Pokémon into what the Season’s theme is. We can only guess at this point.
Fingers crossed we get something awesome! I’m looking at you Deino!
Stay safe out there trainers.
