With the start of the Dual Destiny season in Pokémon GO, a brand new loading screen has appeared! The loading screen in Pokémon GO often teases what is to come in the next few months, so let’s take a look at it in detail!
First up, the Pokémon taking centre stage is Corviknight! Corviknight is the focus of the loading screen, with a flutter of Rookidee shown taking flight below them.
Corviknight is the final evolution of Rookidee, the Route One Pidgey-esque bird of the Galar region. Rookidee is a pure Steel. Corviknight is also known as the Raven Pokémon, and it is actually used as a taxi in the Galar region!
type, known as the Tiny Bird Pokémon. And it really is tiny at only 20cm tall. Rookidee evolves into Corvisquire, the Raven Pokémon. When Corviquire evolves into Corviknight it gains a second typing ofA little more hidden in the loading screen is a brand new Paldean Pokémon, Fidough! You can spot Fidough between Snorlax and the trainer. Fidough was a huge hit when Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were released, in part because of their punny bread-based name! Fidough is a Fairy type known as the Puppy Pokémon, and it evolves into the equally punny Dachsbun, the Dog Pokémon.
Also pictured are some Pokémon that already exist in Pokémon GO, Dedenne, Pikachu, Snorlax and Furfrou. The Dedenne in particular is worth noting, as it is wearing a holiday themed costume. Could this be a hint for a new costume Pokémon that will debut during the winter holiday event? Interestingly, there is a new plush of Dedenne that has been released for the holiday season in a very similar outfit available at the Pokémon Centre, and those plushies often inspire the new costume Pokémon!
A costume Dedenne would be a great shiny chase in Pokémon GO, and be a fun new alternative to a holiday Pikachu!
Which new addition are you looking forward to the most? Personally, I can’t wait to see how cute Fidough looks in game!
