Dive into an action-packed week in Pokémon GO starting August 19th. The Season of Shared Skies is in its final month with a variety of themed events.
Highlights:
- Pokémon World Championships 2024 celebrations take place in Hawai’i, and Pokémon GO!
- Experience the Triumph Together event
- Battle enthusiasts can gear up for the GO Battle League Season 19, while raiders prepare for epic confrontations with Xerneas, and Mega Salamence in Mega Raids!
- And keep your eyes peeled for the elusive Shiny Shadow Suicune! There’s a plethora of adventures waiting, so trainers, gear up and set out!
Pokémon World Championships 2024 Event
Mienfoo
Mienfoo makes their shiny debut as part of the Pokémon World Championships 2024 event, along with a special event themed Pikachu! Starting August 16th at 10:00am, until August 20th, 8:00pm local time.
Triumph Together Event Event
Taking place from August 23 – August 30 is the Triumph Together event! We currently have no information for this event, but will share it as soon as we can!
Soaring Skies Monthly Timed Research
During each month of Pokémon GO: Shared Skies, Trainers will receive free monthly Timed Research! Be sure to regularly check the in-game Events tab for details. Check out full details of the Research here.
GO Battle League Season 19
GO Battle League: Shared Skies will start on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8).
The following will occur at the beginning of the Season.
- End-of-Season rewards will be available on the battle screen.
- Your GO Battle League rank will be reset.
- Rank-up requirements will remain the same as the prior Season.

Spotlight Hour
Mankey
Tuesday August 20th, 6 pm till 7 pm local time we have Mankey as the featured Pokémon for spotlight hour, along with 2x candy for transferring Pokémon!

Wednesday August 21th 6pm till 7pm local time Xerneas will appear in five-star raids.
Mega Raids

From August 12 – August 21 Mega Kangaskhan will appear in Mega Raids.
Mega Salemence
From August 21 – September 3 Mega Salamence will appear in Mega Raids.
Five-Star Raids
Incarnate Thundurus
From August 12 – August 21 Incarnate Forme Thundurus will appear in five-star Raids.
Xerneas
From August 21 – September 3 Xerneas will appear in five-star Raids.
Shadow Raids
Shadow Suicune
One-star and three-star Shadow Raids will be available daily, while five-star Shadow Raids will take place on Saturdays and Sundays unless otherwise noted. Also, Shadow Suicune will swoop into five-star Shadow Raids during Shared Skies!
You may even encounter a Shiny Shadow Suicune—if you’re lucky!
Season of Shared Skies
The following bonuses are specific to Shared Skies:
One additional Special Trade per day.
Trainers level 31 and above will have a higher chance to receive Candy XL from exploring with their buddy.
Increased XP for the first catch of the day.
Season of Shared Skies Research Breakthrough
- From June 1, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7) to September 3, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.
PDT (GMT -7) - Complete Field Research tasks during the whole season to earn an encounter from a pool of Pokémon, including Hisuian Growlithe, Furfrou, Audino, Larvitar, Jangmo-o and Axew.
Season of Shared Skies Field Research Tasks
Field Research tasks that previously rotated on a monthly basis will now rotate Seasonally. Field Research tasks that award an encounter with Spinda will still rotate monthly. For a full list of the season field research tasks check out our list here.
