Coming this week in Pokémon GO, commencing 21st August we have the end of the Noxious Swamp event, and the massive Pokémon GO Fest 2023 Global Weekend!


Noxious Swamp Event

From August 19, 2023, from 10:00 am to August 22 at 8:00 pm local time the first ever Noxious Swamp event occurs. It celebrates the release of shiny Skrelp at GO Fest New York, and focused on Poison and Dragon type Pokémon.

Pokémon GO Fest 2023: Global

Pokémon GO Fest 2023: Global takes place August 26 to August 27, 2023, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm each day. Shiny Goomy, Oranguru, Joltik, East Sea Shellos, and West Sea Shellos will debut, along with the Mythical Pokémon Diance!

GO Battle League Season 15

GO Battle League: Hidden Gems will start on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. PT.

The following will occur at the beginning of the Season.

  • End-of-Season rewards will be available on the battle screen.
  • Your GO Battle League rank will be reset.
  • Rank-up requirements will remain the same as the prior Season.

  • 🟣 Master League*
August 18 – August 25
  • 🟣 Master League*
  • 🟡 Fantasy Cup: Ultra League Edition*

Venonat

Tuesday August 22nd 6pm till 7pm local time we have Venonat as the featured Pokémon for spotlight hour, along with 2x Candy for catching Pokémon.


Raids

Kyogre (Primal)

Wednesday August 23rd 6pm till 7pm local time Primal Kyogre will appear in five-star raids.

Groudon (Primal)

Thursday August 24th 6pm till 7pm local time Primal Groudon will appear in five-star raids.

Mega Raids

Salamence (Mega)

From August 16 to August 23, and then from August 27 to September 1, Mega Salamence will appear in Mega Raids.

From August 23 to August 26 Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon return in Primal Raids!

Rayquaza (Mega)

Sunday August 27th Mega Rayquaza will make their debut globally.

Five Star Raids

From August 16 to August 23 and then from August 27 to September 1, both Xerneas and Yveltal will appear in five-star raids. They can be shiny! Xerneas caught during this time period will learn Geomancy and Yveltal will learn Oblivion Wing.


Season of Hidden Gems

The following bonuses are specific to Season 11: Hidden Gems.

  • Trade icon One additional special trade per day
  • Trade icon One additional Pokémon candy when trading
  • Trade icon For trainers level 31 and above, one guaranteed XL Candy when trading

Field Research

Season of Hidden Gems Research Breakthrough

  • From June 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7) to September 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
    PDT (GMT -7)
  • Complete Field Research tasks during the whole season to earn an encounter from a pool of Pokémon, including Sableye, Beldum, Audino, Furfrou, Noibat and Goomy.

Season of Hidden Gems Field Research Tasks

Starting this Season, Field Research tasks that previously rotated on a monthly basis will now rotate Seasonally. Field Research tasks that award an encounter with Spinda will still rotate monthly. For a full list of the season field research tasks check out our list here.
