Pokémon GO September 2023 Event Guide

Pokémon GO September 2023 events schedule is here! From the debut of the first Paldean Pokémon, to new special research, shiny Pokémon and more, it looks to be an exciting month! September marks the first month of Pokémon GO Season 12: Adventures Abound! Adventures Abound lasts from September 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. until December 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.

GO Battle League Season 16 (Adventures Abound) also runs alongside the Season of Adventure Abound, bringing a huge amount of GBL updates, new GBL Cups, new moves for select Pokémon, and new rank up rewards. Read more about GO Battle League Season 16 here.

Raids

Five Star Raids

During September Kartana, Celesteela, Genesect (Burn Drive), Entei, Suicune and Raikou will be available during different time periods.

Kartana Celesteela	From September 1 to September 8 Kartana and Celesteela will appear in five-star raids.
Kartana Celesteela	From September 8 to September 16 Kartana and Celesteela will appear in five-star raids. In a rare occurrence, Celesteela and Kartana will temporarily appear in different parts of the world!
Genesect (Burn Drive)	From July 16 to September 23 Genesect (Burn Drive) will appear in five-star raids.
Entei Suicune Raikou	From September 23 to October 6 Entei, Suicune and Raikou will appear in five-star raids, and they can be shiny.

Mega Raids

During September Mega Manectric and Mega Gardevoir raid bosses will be available in Pokémon GO’s Mega Raids at different times.

From 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, the following Pokémon will be featured in increased numbers in Five Star Raids during these dates in September:

Shadow Raids

One-star and three-star Shadow Raids will be available daily, while five-star Shadow Raids will take place on Saturdays and Sundays, unless otherwise noted. Also, Shadow Zapdos will swoop into five-star Shadow Raids during Adventures Abound!

For the first time in Pokémon GO, you may even encounter a Shiny Shadow Zapdos—if you’re lucky!

From 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time, the following Pokémon will be featured during these dates in September:

Masterball Special Research

Embark on the path to mastery, Trainers. A Timed Investigation is a lengthy series of challenges available during a set period of time. Seeing this journey through will offer some of the rarest rewards you can obtain in Pokémon GO.

Timed Investigation: Master Ball will be available throughout Pokémon GO: Adventures Abound. Complete the Timed Investigation by Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time to receive the very best Poké Ball with the ultimate level of performance—the Master Ball.

When used, it will catch any Pokémon you encounter in Pokémon GO without fail, whether it be in the wild, through Lure Modules, after Raid Battles, or while using your Daily Adventure Incense.

• For Trainers who are unable to complete Timed Investigation: Master Ball by November 21, 2023, a Special Research ticket that awards a Master Ball will be available to purchase.
