Trainers, get excited, a huge new update has come to the raid system in Pokémon GO and is now live across the globe! A brand new RSVP Planner is live, and has the potential to totally change the way we plan raids.
Going live on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. PDT, this new features aims to help you co-ordinate raids not only with your local community, but your family and friends around the world.
The RSVP planner lets Trainers see on the map when and where other Trainers are planning to participate in upcoming raids.
You can select an upcoming raid to see more detailed RSVP information, including time slots, invites, reminders, and participants. It can even help you navigate to your planned raid if it is a gym you haven’t visited before! Be aware that your RSVP will publicly state your trainer name!
The RSVP planner allows Trainers to schedule their raids as soon as a Raid Egg appears at a Gym. It even allows you to see how many fellow Trainers have RSVP’d for a specific raid at certain time slots. It’ll help you ensure you have enough Trainers to take down a raid, and might even help you find new local players.
You’ll also be able to easily review the raids you have RSVP’d to, discover new raids nearby, and receive reminders for your raids, all in the nearby menu in your bottom left corner.
You can also invite up to five fellow Trainers from anywhere in the world to join your time slot for their scheduled raid. This even includes Shadow Raids! This can make co-ordinating for those elusive regional exclusive raid bosses easier than ever.
Several exciting upcoming events will offer Trainers the opportunity to try out the RSVP planner. Right now trainers can utilise this new feature during the following events:
- Crown Clash and Crown Clash: Taken Over
- Five-star raids with Uxie (Asia-Pacific), Mesprit (Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India), and Azelf (The Americas and Greenland)
- Mega Gyarados raids
And the following up and coming events will also be made easier thanks to this new feature:
- May 17: Shadow Regigigas Raid Day
- May17–18: Regirock Shadow Raids
- May 21–27: Final Strike: GO Battle Week
- May 24–25: Regirock Shadow Raids
- May 25: Mega Altaria raids
- May 26: Five-star raids with Tapu Bulu
- May 31 – June 1: Regirock Shadow Raids
- June 28: Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Global
