To celebrate the First Anniversary of Pokémon Sleep, a variety of announcements will be made across the week, with the first being the introduction of a new item!
This article will be updated daily with all the new information shared each day!

Ultra Biscuits are nice treats that will make Pokémon much more friendly toward you. If you give one to a Pokémon during snack time, it will raise that Pokémon’s friendship points by 5.
Note: You can exchange for a maximum of three per month at the General Store.
These can be used at snack time starting today. To commemorate the release of Ultra Biscuits, each researcher will be given one Ultra Biscuit. Feel free to give it a try at snack time!
The free Ultra Biscuit Distribution period is from 14th July 2024 at 23:00 UTC until 23rd September 2024 05:00 UTC. Be sure to remember to claim it!

The announcement for day two is about unlocking the limits for research rank, helper Pokémon levels, and more. Pokémon Sleep intends to unlock these limits during an update in early August.
With this unlock, Pokémon that reach level 60 will be able to gather more kinds of ingredients.
Limits to be increased with this update:
- Research rank: 55 → 60
- Pokémon level: 55 → 60
- Max levels of certain main skills: 6 → 7 for Ingredient Magnet S, Extra Helpful S and Cooking Power-Up S. Note: Other main skills’ max levels are scheduled to be gradually unlocked in later updates.
- Recipe level: 55 → 60
- Max expanded capacity of the bag’s ingredients pocket: 600 → 700

To make Pokémon Sleep easier to play, the following adjustments will occur during an update in early August.
- Bedtime rewards increase: Some of the rewards you can get by sticking to your bedtime will increase.
- Sleep research rewards increase: The amount of research EXP and Dream Shards you can get from sleep research will increase slightly. Note: Adjustments will focus mainly on sleep styles that require a low amount of Drowsy Power.
- Rewards when you have reached the max area bonus: If you’ve reached the max area bonus, your 5% area bonus increase will be automatically divided and distributed across other areas.

To make Pokémon Sleep easier to play, the following changes and adjustments are planned for an update in early August.
- Adjustment that allows helper Pokémon with the Skills specialty to bank main skill uses. Currently, for all helper Pokémon, a main skill will not trigger again until it has been used once. After this adjustment, Pokémon with the Skills specialty will be able to bank up to two uses of their main skill. Note: After this adjustment, when you tap on a Pokémon with a magnifying glass over its head on the home screen, if the Pokémon has the Skills specialty, it will sometimes use its main skill twice at one time. Pokémon that don’t have the Skills specialty can only bank one use of their main skills. You can see your helper Pokémon’s specialty in the upper right of the Pokémon’s details screen (from the home screen, tap Pokémon, then Pokémon Box, then on an individual Pokémon).
- Adjustment to game function when you edit your team. After the adjustment, whenever you change which Pokémon are on your team—even if you only change one Pokémon—any banked main skills that are ready to be used for any of the Pokémon on your team will be canceled. This adjustment is being made in order to prepare for a wide variety of main skills that will be coming in the future.
- Addition of three-star sleep styles to the sleep styles that can be discovered on Greengrass Isle. Some three-star Pokémon sleep styles will be added to the sleep styles that can be seen during sleep research on Greengrass Isle.
- Increase to Strength gains from certain dishes. The Strength gains from some dishes that don’t require many ingredients will be increased slightly.

In late September, 2024, Pokémon Sleep plan to hold an event that will make it easier to encounter Pokémon sleep styles that you haven’t discovered yet. It’s an opportunity to research lots of sleep styles you haven’t yet seen!
Also, they plan to add a research bonus to Good Sleep Day beginning in October 2024 that makes it easier to encounter Pokémon sleep styles you haven’t discovered yet.

It’s now day six, and today, July 20, marks exactly one year since Pokémon Sleep’s global release! Thanks to all of you, Pokémon Sleep has reached the one-year mark since its launch.
Also, the total amount of sleep time tracked* by researchers across the world amounts to 0.44 million years! That’s about 3.9 billion hours! Tracked between and

The final announcement for day seven is about the new Good-Night Ribbon feature. This new feature is meant to help you feel closer to your helper Pokémon. It is planned to be added during an update in early August.
What Is a Good-Night Ribbon?
Helper Pokémon can now get Good-Night Ribbons based on the amount of sleeping time you’ve shared. Note: You can see a Pokémon’s Good-Night Ribbon, along with its effects, and your shared sleep time on the Pokémon’s details screen (from the home screen, tap Pokémon, then Pokémon Box, and then on the individual Pokémon).
Getting a Good-Night Ribbon will raise some of a Pokémon’s helping stats. The effects it has on stats depend on which of four levels of Good-Night Ribbon it is, and these levels are unlocked based on the amount of sleeping time shared with that helper Pokémon.
Also, if you reach the third ribbon level, you’ll get a special profile icon of that Pokémon!
In addition, if that helper Pokémon is still able to evolve, then it will get an additional boost to its helping stats. With the effects of the Good-Night Ribbon, it may be easier to include unevolved Pokémon that couldn’t help much before on your team. Note: The number of times a Pokémon can evolve depends on which Pokémon are included in Pokémon Sleep.
Good-Night Ribbon Effects
- Ribbon level 1: 200 hours of sleeping time shared: Carry limit +1
- Ribbon level 2: 500 hours of sleeping time shared: Carry limit +2 and if the Pokémon can still evolve once (example: Pikachu), its helping frequency is shortened by 5%. If the Pokémon can still evolve twice (example: Pichu), its helping frequency is shortened by 11%
- Ribbon level 3: 1,000 hours of sleeping time shared: Carry limit +3 and Special profile icon of that helper Pokémon
- Ribbon level 4: 2,000 hours of sleeping time shared: Carry limit +2 and If the Pokémon can still evolve once (example: Pikachu), its helping frequency is shortened by 7% (for a total of 12% shorter). If the Pokémon can still evolve twice (example: Pichu), its helping frequency is shortened by 14% (for a total of 25% shorter)
Note: Each level’s effects will be added as you unlock them. Example: If you unlock ribbon level 2 with Pichu (a Pokémon that can still evolve twice), you’ll get the effects of ribbon level 2 in addition to the effects of ribbon level 1. Therefore, that particular Pokémon will get three effects from the ribbon: +1 to its carry limit from the ribbon level 1 bonus, plus an additional +2 to its carry limit and 11% shorter helping frequency from the ribbon level 2 bonus.
