Mega Kangaskhan makes their Pokémon GO return with a dedicated Mega Raid Day event! Increased Remote Raid limit, Stomp as an attack, and an increased chance of encountering shiny Kangaskhan!
Pawmi Community Day
Pokémon GO’s May 2025 Community Day features Pawmi, the Mouse Pokémon! Pawmi Community Day takes place on Sunday, May 11, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Evolving Pawmo during the event will result in Pawmot knowing the exclusive charge attack Brick Break.
Crown Clash: Taken Over
Crown Clash: Taken Over is the latest Team GO Rocket Takeover event that runs from May 14, 12:00 a.m. through May 18, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. local time. During that time, Trainers will have the opportunity to remove Frustration, save Shadow Dialga, and face Rocket Grunts and Rocket Leaders who are using new Shadow Pokémon!
Shadow Regigigas Raid Day
Shadow Regigigas will be featured in a Raid Day on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time! Increased chance of encountering Shiny Regigigas from Shadow Raids.
GO Battle Week: Final Strike
Urshifu is coming to Pokémon GO, during the Final Strike GO Battle Week event, which takes place from Wednesday, May 21, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
May Community Day Classic: Machop
Pokémon GO’s May 2025 Community Day Classic features Machop, the Superpower Pokémon! Machop Community Day Classic takes place on Saturday, May 24, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day
Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day takes place on Sunday May 25, 2:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m. local time! During the event, all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles, and Power Spots will refresh more frequently. If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny Machamp capable of Gigantamaxing!
Research Breakthrough

Season of Might and Mastery
May is the second month of Pokémon GO’s 18th Season, the Might and Mastery season! The Might and Mastery Season runs from March 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. to June 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time and focuses on the Galar region.
