Highlights
- Raid Boss Change (September 2): Palkia and Mega Venusaur, Mega Blastoise, Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y return to the raid pool
- Max Monday: Dynamax Pidove is featured in Max Battles from 6 PM to 7 PM.

Max Monday: Dynamax Pidove
On Monday, September 1st, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Dynamax Pidove will appear in Max Battles! Dynamax Pidove will continue to appear from September to September 7 in Max Battles:
Spotlight Hour: Pidgey
On Tuesday, September 2nd, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Pidove will be the featured Pokémon for Spotlight Hour, along with 2× XP for evolving Pokémon! Plus you can obtain Mega Energy for Mega Pidgeot when catching Pidgey.
Raid Hour: Origin Forme Palkia
On Wednesday, September 3rd, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Origin Forme Palkia will be the featured Pokémon for Raid Hour!
XP Celebration

With the level cap being increased to level 80 in Pokémon GO, trainers would want to collect massive amounts of XP before the journey beyond level 50 goes live on October 15, 2025. Luckily, you can start doing that right away thanks to the XP Celebration event, which promises huge XP gains and exclusive Timed Research.
Kanto Celebration

The Pokémon GO Kanto Celebration is a global event running from September 2 to September 7, 2025. This event brings Kanto regional Pokémon worldwide, and special research to encounter Dynamax Legendary Birds! On top of that, enjoy timed research and spawns, and the ability to evolve certain Pokémon to obtain their special moves.
Mega Sharpedo Raid Day

Mega Sharpedo debuts in Pokémon GO during a special Raid Day event on Sunday, September 7th, 2025. Trainers can look forward to an increased chance to encounter shiny Sharpedo, up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, and a temporarily increased Remote Raid Pass limit.

From August 25th to September 2nd, Necrozma will appear in the five-star raids.

Pokémon GO’s September 2025 GO Pass runs from Tuesday, September 2nd at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, October 7th at 10:00 a.m. local time. This month’s GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe feature exclusive rewards, including an encounter with Cobalion with a Tales of Transformation background, XP and Stardust bonuses, and the debut of the Timed Incubator—an unlimited-use but time-limited egg incubator available with the GO Pass Deluxe.

GO Battle League Season 24 begins Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7). At launch:
- 🎁 End-of-Season rewards (from the prior season) appear on the Battle screen.
- 🔄 Your GBL rank resets.
- 📈 Rank-up requirements remain the same.

The active season this week in Pokémon GO is the Tales of Transformation Season! Running from September 2, 2025, to December 2, 2025, this incredible season focuses on Resolute Keldeo and brings the much-anticipated debut of Mega Metagross!
Season-long bonuses 🎁
The following bonuses are specific to Tales of Transformation:
- One additional Candy when trading Pokémon
- Trainers level 31 and above will receive one guaranteed Candy XL when trading Pokémon, and one guaranteed Rare Candy XL when catching a five-star Raid Boss during a Raid Hour
- Increased XP for a seven-day PokéStop spin streak, from going up a Friendship level and for a seven-day Pokémon catch streak
- Increased Stardust for a seven-day Pokémon catch streak
During the season of Tales of Transformation you can enjoy the following trade bonuses every Sunday from September 7th to November 30th 2025:
- One additional Special Trade.
- Increased chance of Lucky Trade for any trade.
