Shuppet is a unique figure in that it has the infiltrator ability, able to slip past friendly and opponent figures. However, Shuppet is the only Pokemon with this ability to have 3 Movement Points(MP), allowing it to easily move around the board. Although Shuppet does not have the strongest of attacks, landing a lucky will-o-wisp can be a huge turning point for the game.

Shuppet can be used at the start of the game, to attempt to get a cheesy win with the classic Shuppet 3 turn kill. With 3 movement points, Shuppet can also be saved for the middle game, to score some easy surrounds against careless opponents. The best situation for Shuppet to be in is right here, allowing for you to kill 1 of your opponent’s Pokemon no matter how he/she reacts.

Another good technique to use with Shuppet is to make use of its ability to enter deep into enemy lines, then Pokemon Switch in a 1/2MP figure to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting enemy. However, it may not always be a good idea to switch Shuppet for a stronger but slower figure when occupying a capture space, as you lose the ability to immediately capture the goal if the opponent moves the goal blocking figure away.
