A new event is here, along with some new Raid Bosses to help counter Heatran! We will have the usual Infographics, Raid Boss Guides, and event details, so let’s jump right in!
Adventure Sync Hatchathon 2019
A rather surprising event has come to the game on the tails of the 2018 Winter Event, being a Adventure Sync Hatchathon Event like the one last November. This time the event is a rather small one with the following bonuses:
- Increased Drops of 5km and 10km Eggs from Pokéstops/Gyms
- Double Hatch Candy
- Double Hatch Stardust
There are no known modifications to the egg pool of 5km and 10km eggs, but their drop rates have been significantly boosted over 2km eggs. This event will run from:
- January 2, 2019, at 1:00 P.M. PST (GMT −8) to January 15, 2019, at 1:00 P.M. PST (GMT −8)
This is accompanied by a new box sale, where the clear theme revolves around selling Incubators, with the Ultra Box having a whopping 10 Super Incubators and 6 Regular Incubators. As to whether or not this is worth your coin, we have an analysis out right here. As for the event overall, we have these infographics for your viewing pleasure:
Raid Boss Shakeup
Raid Bosses switched around at 1 P.M. PST on January 1st, bringing around bosses with a clear type advantage over the Legendary Heatran. Besides mainstays that rarely, if ever, leave like Tyranitar, Shinx, and Mawile, the clear typing of all the Raid Bosses follows Heatran’s weaknesses to Ground, Fighting, and Water. Here is the running list, with guides linked as needed:

- Makuhita (Shiny Possible) Fighting
- Wailmer (Shiny Possible) Water

- Magikarp (Shiny Possible) Water
